third person point of view:
the school day had finally ended. teagan and october got back onto their bus, doing the same thing they had done that morning. except she stared at her phone, wondering if she should text daniel or not. she decided against it, and slipped her phone back into her pocket and looked outside at the trees that the bus was passing.
once getting off the bus they walked the rest of the way to their house. then, walked in the front door taking their shoes off and sitting them in the mud room and walking into the living room where their mom was sitting.
they both gave her a hug and kiss on the cheek before sitting down on the couch with her.
"how was school?" she asked with a smile on her face from the greeting she had gotten from the two.
"really good, we have to do secret santa as a school. i got daniel, you know, the one i've had a crush on since forever. he gave me his number." teagan told her mother with a wide smile.
the siblings and the mother were super close meaning they told each other everything. she knew that teagan had a large crush on daniel, and she knew october had a hidden crush on zach. the mother and older sister would tease her about it every chance they got.
"well, i'm happy you got someone you like at least. i got zach the dumbass." october said, finally revealing who her secret santa was.
"ah, ah, ah. what did i tell you about saying that word." the mom warned with a smile on her face, she was laid back and didn't mind if her kids said some curse words. just not the horrible ones.
october sighed, pouting that her mother had made her quit saying her favorite word. yet she still nodded in a way of saying yes ma'am.
"tobi, you know you like him, you just try and cover that crush with hate. he likes you too, why don't y'all just get together?" teagan had told her sister, making the younger girl scowl at her.
"it's not that simple, rae. if it was don't you think i would quit hating the boy." she responded punching teagan on the arm kind of hard making teagan punch her back. the mother broke them apart sending them to eat dinner.
they gradually moved to the kitchen, sitting at the dinner eating the food their mother had made just before they had gotten home. once finishing, they all went to do their separate things.
teagan went to her bedroom, whipping her phone out again wondering if she should text daniel, or to still wait a bit so it didn't look like she was desperate.
she decided to sit her phone down for a bit, she went to the bathroom taking a bath. after finishing she brushed her teeth, and changed into some red plaid pajama bottoms and a random old t-shirt. she blow dried her hair and went back to her room, getting on her phone and finally texted the boy.

the girl didn't go to her sisters room like she told the boy she would, she stayed in her bed holding the large smile he had made come to her face.
and she had a peaceful night of sleep.
