two weeks later.
teagan and daniel walked through the doors of the highschool, their hands connected.
daniel walked the girl to her locker and left her with her friends, not forgetting to place a kiss on her fourhead before heading to his locker where his friends were standing.
"hey, rae. how have you been?" winnie asked, she asked every morning. she was worried about her friend.
"i'm doing okay." she told her friend. yet, it was a lie. she was sad, she wanted her mom, she wanted someone as a parent to actually care.
her dad, he was never coming back. she had lost her mother, her bestfriend. all she had left was october, who would probably be taken away from her to go live with their grandparents.
there was still hope that her younger sister could live with her, the two would just have to work harder to make money to take care of themselves and the bills they needed to pay.
which is why teagan had gotten a job at zumiez, and october had gotten a job at forever 21. they also had another job where they worked together at the coffee shop down the road.
daniel also said that he would pitch in and help, teagan denied his offer. she didn't want to spend his money, she wanted him to keep it as college savings or other things he needed.
daniel still decided to pitch in though, he was at the house everyday. he took care of the food in the kitchen, he made sure they never ran out of food.
his family even started helping, his mother helped out with laundry, his dad helped out with repairs and other things that needed maintenance around the house, his brothers weren't around much due to college, but his little sister anna had became a support system for october.
anna and zach were almost there everyday, zach and october getting super close. not that either cared, they had liked each other since ninth grade but buried that like with hate.
"rae." artemis said snapping her fingers in front of her bestfriends face. "you kind of zoned out. you alright?"
"i'm good, i was just thinking about work." teagan said a little smile coming on her face to reassure her bestfriend she was okay. "i have three shifts today."
"ah, well we'll see you later rae." artemis told the girl. "have a good day."
teagan waved and started towards her class. she sat down beside angelina, and laid her head down on the desk. she wanted to get rest, she never gets to sleep.
she wanted to cry, yet she wanted to be happy. shes going to give daniel his gifts tomorrow, and she wants to be happy. she wants to be happy on christmas. even though it will just be her and her sister.
the bell rang, and the class sat down in their seats. taking notes and talking about test coming up.
later on the bell rang, and teagan headed to the office. she sat down in her normal seat, and started playing on the computer.
she was bored. so, she got on her phone and started playing her games, that was until she got a text from daniel.

daniel: instagram

teagan: ah, why are
you on your phone?
daniel: teacher doesn't
care. wanna check out
at lunch?
teagan: heck yea, can
we go to the movies?
daniel: i have
something better
in mind. you're
gonna love it baby.
teagan: okay! i gotta go.
i have to pass out papers
to elementary.
daniel: bye, love!
