third person point of view:
teagan drove to school that day, getting there quicker than the bus. she had the radio on singing as well as october.
they pulled into the school parking lot, hopping out of the jeep then heading into a the building.
teagan told her sister bye and walked to her locker. artemis and luna weren't at school today, they had a field trip. which meant that angelina wouldn't be there either, most of her friends would be gone.
she was all by herself. she got her stuff out of her locker and headed to science. she sat at her desk, and started to get her class utensils out.
once the class started, the teacher started to quiet down the class. she started to give everyone a slip of paper, the one that teagan had given to all of the teachers yesterday.
the teacher handed teagan daniels slip of paper about himself. she read all of his favorites and laughed at a few. favorite candy, anything but chocolate. favorite scent, anything that smells good.
she slipped the paper into her bag and started to listen to the lesson, jotting down notes.
the bell finally rang and teagan moved her way to the office where she stays for the next two hours.
she sat at the front desk, playing a game on the computer.
"teagan, we need you to do the announcements. we didn't get to do them this morning." one of the office employees told the girl.
she nodded standing from her chair and heading to the announcement room. the clicked on the button that starts the announcements.
"goodmorning students, this is teagan kings with your morning announcements. we did not get to do the announcements first hour due to many employees missing today due to the death of one of our biggest fans. a moment of silence for his passing— thank you. today for lunch we will have turkey and grilled cheese, we will have grade recovery and after school detention wednesday. tutoring sessions will be open with NHS members meet with one of them if you need tutoring. also, secret santa slips have been passed around the school, so you know have interest that your secret santa likes. the christmas program will be in four weeks, if you have your idea for what you will be doing as a class please come to the office now. we will be on break starting december twentieth to january tenth. please rise for the pledge of allegiance - that's all for your morning announcements have a great day and be sure to smile today."
after saying the announcements teagan went back to the front part of the office, sitting back down.
she occasionally saw a person walk in bringing a student to the principles office, or a student come in and give her their classs idea for the christmas program.
she was sitting playing her game until she heard the office door close. she looked up, seeing daniel standing there.
"i'm here to check in," he said with a smile showing his tooth gap.
"do you have a doctors excuse?" she asked, she always had to ask.
"oh, yeah." he said pulling it out of the back pocket of his jeans.
she opened it seeing that it said he could come back today, she put it into the folder.
"hey, teagan. when you get done, we need you to go pass these papers out." teagan heard someone tell her from the back of the office.
"yes ma'am."
she printed out daniels late slip and put a stamp that said it was doctors excused. she got the papers and headed out of the office door daniel was holding for her.
the two exited the office walking beside each other, teagan decided to start in the high school hall so she could spend more time with daniel.
"you know teagan, we don't know much about each other." daniel said breaking the silence.
"alright, what you wanna know?" she asked with a smile.
"give me minor details, like your interest. what you want to be when you grow up. stuff like that."
"well, i have a sister. a single mom, my dad lives in west virginia. i love space, everything about space. i love coffee and i quote vines on the daily. i love seeing people happy even though i may not be happy myself. i can watch a three to four seasoned show in one sitting. i had a little brother but he passed away at birth. i love christmas, and music. my favorite animal is a giraffe, my favorite pet is a cat. i love vintage things and my favorite cookies are white macadamia nut cookies. also love socks."
"okay wow, i'm sorry about your parents and brother. but anyways, i have three siblings. two brothers and one sister. i hate chocolate. i love seeing smiles on peoples faces. i love clothes, i like splurging on hoodies and chains and stuff. i love my mama, she's my favorite person. my bestfriend is corbyn. i love bracelets, simple ones. i also love making new friends. i like shoes, they're super dope. i love music, i love making new playlist of fire songs! also, i love christmas."
the girl just sat quietly taking in everything daniel was saying. she liked him so much more, she knew a lot more about him.
"well, teagan. this is my stop. see you at lunch!" she waved at him and let him walk to his classroom.
she tapped her heals together jumping into the air. letting out a little squeal.
he made her happy. yet they were together.
