Callie's POV

Brandon wouldn't leave me alone. He followed me onto the bus that would take me to where Jude was. I couldn't understand why Brandon was still with me. He could get into a lot of trouble. I might just get sent to another foster home. I hadn't sent anything since we got on the bus. He told me what bus to get on and I thought he would leave and go back to tell Lena or Stef, but he got on and sat beside me. I sat on the bus beside him just looking at the speckled floor.

The sun was starting to set outside which meant school had been over for a while now. I looked out the windown wondering what foster home Jude and I would be sent to next after this big stunt I was pulling. I knew The Fosters would want to kick us out after I ran away. It was bound to happen.

Brandon pulled out his phone and looked at the time. "What are you doing?" I asked, thinking he was going to call or text his moms. "I was just looking at the time. Just missed my piano audition, but it's alright." I looked at him puzzled. "Why would you miss an audition?" I asked. "It's not that big of a deal. There will be others." I could hear the disappointment in his voice. I felt bad for him, but it was his fault. I told him he could handle it on his own. He shouldn't have followed me in the first place.

When we arrived at the final stop on the street where the house was, it was dark outside. Brandon's phone rung multiple times. He just ignored the calls. We walked down the street. Only a couple of street lights lit the way for us. I was familar with the street though. Jude and I had to walk to and from school everyday when I was living in the house.

"So, how are you going to get your brother?" Brandon asked, ending the long silence. "If you're coming with me, you can distract him by knocking on the front door or something and I'll sneak through the back door," I explained. He nodded.

We arrived at the house after a fifteen minute walk from the bus stop. Brandon and I looked at each other and I quietly walked to the back door. I waited for Brandon to distract my foster father. I could see through the back screen door which was open. I saw Jude washing dishes. Brandon knocked at the front door. My foster father walked to the door. "Um, sorry to bother you, but my cell phone died and I need to make a phone call. Can I use your phone?" He said. As he talked to my foster father, I slowly opened the door and made my way to Jude. Before I could get to Jude, my foster father spotted me and brought out his gun. "Get out! Get out now or I'll shoot!" He yelled. I ran to grab Jude. "Hey, stop!" Brandon yelled. My foster father turned around and pointed the gun at him. "You better get out too. I'm not afraid to shoot. All of a sudden, I hear the back door creak open and Stef points her gun toward my foster father. "Put the gun down! Put it down now! This is the police!" She yelled. Another police officer, male, came in the front door pointing his gun at my foster father. I held Jude close to me. My foster father dropped his gun and Stef put him in hand cuffs. The male police officer carried him outside.

Stef came over to Jude and I. "Come on you too. Get your stuff and come outside," she said. I followed Jude to the room we had once shared. He threw his clothes in his duffel bag. I could hear Stef yelling at Brandon about how much danger he had just put himself in. I looked out the doorway and saw him just nodding his head. Not really saying anything to his mom. I felt bad. I didn't expect for the situation to go like that. I didn't even know my foster father had a gun. I was just happy none of us got hurt.

I looked at Jude who was quiet. "You okay?" I asked him embracing him again. He nodded. I could tell he was a little scared after what just happened, but he wasn't going to say anything about that. I kissed him on the top of his head and carried his duffel bag as we walked out.

Stef and Brandon were standing outside the house along with Lena and Bill. Bill was talking to Stef and Lena. I was guessing he was probably taking Jude and I to another foster home because Stef and Lena didn't want us.

After a few minutes of standing there, Lena took Jude and put him in their car. Stef came over to me. "Callie, that was very dangerous." I nodded and said, "I'm sorry." She looked at me and said, "Bill explained that you guys don't need to be separated, so we are taking you both in until you find a permanent home that wants to take you in," she said. I was suprised. After what just happened, our foster parents would have told Bill we were too much to handle and we would've been put in the next available foster home on the list. "You get in the car. We're going home," she said. I walked to the car. Jude was seated in the middle. Brandon was seated on the other side of Jude. I sat beside Jude. "Sorry I got you in trouble," I said. "It's alright. I'm just grounded for a couple of days," he said. "You didn't have to do this," I said. He nodded and said, "Yes, I did." We both looked at each other for a moment.

Stef and Lena got in the car and drove us back home. Mariana and Jesus were sitting on the porch steps waiting for us to arrive. Jude and I made our way through the door. I was happy Jude could stay at a good place for a while. I was just afraid he would get too comfortable.
