This story, is about three friends who concidently stumbled upon something they at first couldn't understand. Hopefully, they won't end up destroying the world with it. Welcome to their world.
Chapter 1
-What started as a joke
This story is about a young advenutrer named Nilk. Nilk was different from most people, he was never as close to his parents as the rest of his siblings, and he prefered to spend time alone. He was on the odder side, and if someone knew him long enough and stayed with him, they would notice a change in his eyes. Everyday Nilk's eyes would change, he had no clue why, but they would. He didn't like talking to many people but he had his friends Iccim, a really cool girl with fire and determination in her eyes, and Nonna, a funny girl who made the trio laugh all the time.
These three were a unlikely group as their personalities weren't the same. Nilk was shy, and smart, but strong and determined. Iccim was cool, always doing something, strong-willed and very artistic. Nonna was the comidian, also an artist, but always was making people laugh, no matter the situation going on. Nevertheless, these three got along more than anyone they had ever seen, and they found something, something specail and magical, but thats getting ahead of the story. We must first start at the begining.
Nilk was sitting on a log reading a book that he had just gotten, his eyes a rather odd shade of blue and green today. He had been there all morning and had even awoke before those in his house to read it. As he was reading Iccim and Nonna were walking close to where he sat. They decided they would try to make him jump.
"We have to be very quiet" said Nonna, "He can't know we're here or he won't get scared."
"Shouldn't we leave him alone" said Iccim, "We were kinda mean to him yesterday, and you ruined one of his books."
"It'll be fine, he won't get mad at us" said Nonna with a devious grin coming onto her face.
"Well, ok" said Iccim a playful look in her eyes.
As the pair begin creeping up to where Nilk was reading, Nilk had heard their entire plan. He sat there with a wide smile coming onto his face, trying not to laugh.
As Nonna and Iccim were just about to attempt to frighten Nilk, he turns around. "Boo" said Nilk
They both jump back, suprised that Nilk even knew they were behind him. They were even more suprised that he heard them and stopped them from scaring him. Both looking slightly disappointed.
"How'd you hear us?" questioned Nonna, a smile coming back onto her face.
Nilk smiled, glad to see his two friends. "You two whisper kinda loudly" He gets up and hugs his two friends, glad to think they might have forgotten how he reacted yesterday. They had thrown one of his favorite books into the mud, and the pages were stuck together and the words had disappeared on the pages that remained unstuck.
"So your not mad?" asked Iccim.
"I could never be mad at the two of you" said Nilk with a smile on his face, "I was hoping you two wouldn't be mad at me"
"Why would w--" Nonna was interrupted by a thundering crash that had errupted from the woods.
All hint of smiling and joy disappear from Nilk's face. "W-what was that?" he stutters.
