Carlisle burts through the hospital doors with a bleeding Angel in his arms. The few nurses at the nurses station jumped into action. Carlisle avoided them, that way they didn't see Angel's wings.

"I need a crash cart and 100 milligrams of morphine, now!" He demanded as he rushed to the OR.

Once Angel was secure on the table, a crash cart was rolled into the room with an i.v. full of morphine. He shooed the nurses out and got to work. Soon after, Edward appeared by his side started helping. Once the morphine spread through her system, Angel eventually stopped crying. Surgery was needed, so Carlisle quickly sedated her.

Edward scrubbed up, his medical training in his favor. He made the first incision, then let Carlisle handle the rest. The heart monitor picked up pace, indicating that the blood clot that was found was causing complications. Carlisle and Edward worked quickly, quicker than any human could follow.

Outside the OR, the majority of the pack, Phoenix, Bella and the Cullen sisters were waiting. Sam, Paul, Emmett, Jasper and Charlie were at the Swan residence questioning Jebediah. Jared, Embry, Quil, Collin and Brady were running perimeters.

"Where is Charlie?" Bella asked.

"At home with Jebediah. Jasper and Emmett are with him. As well as Paul and Sam," Alice answered.

Bella nodded and looked over to Rosalie, who was pacing off to the side.

"She's quite worried," Alice commented, staring at her sister.

"Ari?" Bella asked Alice.

Alice made a face. "He escaped. I don't necessarily know how, but he did."

Bella sighed.

"He's known for that," Phoenix chimed in.

It had been a couple hours of conversation and a few phone calls regarding Jebediah's fate, when Carlisle walked through the double doors. Phoenix jumped up and ran to him.

"How is she?" She demanded.

Carlisle smiled warmly. "She's going to be just fine. She has a lot of healing to do, but she'll live."

Phoenix smiled with tears in her eyes and ran around Carlisle to her daughter. She swung open the door to the room and caught sight of Angel.

Angel was propped up by many pillows, looking surprisingly small in the huge bed. An oxygen tube was taped to her face, her wings were stretched out and wrapped, she had many stitches and a few staples. She was covered in bruises. She looked worse than when Carlisle found her in Seattle a few months ago.

Angel carefully reached for her mommy, a little grin forming on her lips. Phoenix obliged, hugging her daughter tightly, but gingerly. Angel pulled back slightly, seeing her mother crying.

"I'm okay, mommy," Angel said softly. "Daddy saved me."

"I know, I know. I'm so glad that you're okay," Phoenix sniffled.
