Chapter 10

"So are you gonna continue to have me sitting here tied up to this chair or help me find out who my baby's father is?," asked Janet. "I suppose," LaToya said impatiently. LaToya cut the forefront around Janet's wrists, ankles, and stomach. Janet rubbed her wrists to get the feeling back in them. "Now that's more like it. C'mon, let's go," said Janet. Janet and LaToya ran out of the clubhouse, hopped in Janet's jeep, and headed off to James DeBarge's house. Now I know what you're thinking, "Why in the world is Janet going to James' house for if they are divorced. Well see, after they had their marriage annulled, they remained good friends.

Anyway, while Janet was cruising with LaToya next to her, LaToya started to speak. "Dunk, I'm sorry for what I did to you. I was just jealous and upset. Please forgive me." Janet looked at her. "I accept your apology Toy. And...I'm sorry too for all the things I did and said to you too." LaToya smiled. "I forgive you." They shook each other's hand because Janet was driving. "Let's turn on some music so we can get crunk in this bi***!," said Janet. LaToya nodded. Janet turned on the radio and tried to find a station that had a turn up song on it. When she finally found a station to listen to, the radio news reporter interrupted. "We interrupt this program to bring you breaking news!" Janet glanced at LaToya and turned up the radio. "Just moments ago, at the Golden Rope event that Michael and Janet are supposed to be hosting and performing at, has been cancelled." Janet's jaw dropped. The reporter continued. "...due to a crime scene investigation taking place at the moment. Police reports say that the Matriarch of the Jackson family...has been kidnapped." Janet slammed on the breaks. She pulled over to the side of the road. "It has not been confirmed of whom the suspect is, but we'll keep you updated with further information. Until then, I'm Joe Cash, and you're listening to TurnDownForWhat radio station on T54.1." LaToya looked at Janet who was staring at the radio with her mouth still open in shock. "D...Dunk," LaToya started crying. Janet teared up. "Yeah...I know." They both broke down crying.

The scene splits in half seeing Michael and Jermaine and Janet and LaToya crying.

commercial break

"What are we gonna do?," asked Michael. The scene jumps to Janet talking. "We're gonna find our mother," she said. "But what if she's..." The scene jumps back to Jermaine interrupting, "Don't you dare say that!," he yelled. The scene switches to LaToya. "O...k-kay," she stuttered. The scene now shows both Jermaine and Janet saying, "We'll find mother, and I think I know exactly where she is."
