Kori's POV:
"Kōri, time to get up!" My grandma yelled as I rise from my bed, changed my clothes, and brush my teeth. Today wasn't as bad like yesterday and I slept pretty well ever since I became friends with that psychic guy, Saiki, who cheered me up that day. And...I'm actually glad he comfort me yesterday, it was really nice. Hmmm I should probably think about repaying him for yesterday...I guess that would be good thing to do.Once I walk down the stairs, I widen my eyes to see Saiki sitting on the sofia eating pudding nonchalantly in the living room.
What the hell are you doing in my house?!?
I mentally shout at him.
Eating pudding.
He casually replied with a blank look as he kept on eating his pudding cup. I sighed and shake my head.
Always this chill and dry aren't you?
I asked curiously as he takes a small scoop of pudding and puts it in his mouth with a calm expression.
Pretty much, but...you do have some good pudding here. However, I wish you and your grandmother have coffee jelly in your fridge though.
He said in my mind which I face palm in response.
Please don't tell me you teleport to my house just to ask me about coffee jelly cuz I'm pretty sure there's coffee jelly down by the store.
I informed him.
I know, but the only reason came here is to see if you're doing okay.
He told me as I sighed softly at him, but with a grin.
I'm Saiki, but thank for worrying about me. I appreciate it.
I thanked him with a small grin as Saiki nods at me in response and continues eating his pudding like a little kid which had me covering my mouth with my hand to giggle at how adorable he looks right now.
Okay I'm going to sound like a dork here, but he looks pretty cute when he's acting like this. It's quite funny since he's always much of an I-don't-care-everybody type of person, but it seems nice to have him around. Just then I saw my grandma walking out of the kitchen carrying a tray of scrambled eggs with toast and turkey bacon.
"Morning Kōri, did you sleep well? Saiki came to our house just to see you, isn't that sweet?" She asked kindly as I blush at my grandma's teasing and nod at her nevertheless. I walk towards the sofa where I sat next to Saiki while eating my breakfast.
"Awwww I'm so glad that my sweet little granddaughter has finally found a friend! I'm even surprised that you weren't so grumpy about letting him in since yesterday. Did you have a change of heart?" She sweetly asked as I blush at my grandma's question and avert my eyes.
Oh my god grandma, please don't....
I thought in a flustered tone while blushing like a fucking idiot.
You have a nice Grandma.
He compliment me.
Yeah but she also likes to tease me a lot....
I shyly told him while blushing a lot. My grandmother laughed and grin.
"Alright, Alright, I'll stop, but try finishing up your food, you don't want to be late for school." She reminded me as we both nod our heads at her, she walks back to the kitchen. As I eat my breakfast, I drank my orange juice and put the glass down on the coffee table.
"Hey..."
"Hm?" Saiki open one eye to glance at me where I grip my hands against my lap.
"...Thanks for saying those kind things to me yesterday..It was..really nice...." I told him while shyly glancing down at the floor. Saiki then shrugs his shoulders casually.
"It's no big deal, I'm just making sure that you're happy." He calmly stated with a deadpan look, but I giggled at how cheesy he sounds.
"That was super corny." I snickered, but Saiki ignores what I'd just said and kept eating his pudding cup pretending that he didn't hear that. Nevertheless, I giggled and scoot closer to Saiki as I patted him on the shoulder.
"But...you're a pretty nice guy even though you can be blunt at times." I earnestly told him.
"Yeah, yeah." He nonchalantly replied. Then my grandmother came back in the living room once again with a jolly grin.
"Are you two done with your meal?" She asked kindly peering from the doorway as both of us nod our heads at her in response. I grab my plate and the empt pudding cup and spoon where I put them on the tray and hand it to my grandmother.
Just before she leaves, I grab her shirt when she turns her head with a curious look. I gave her a written note and bow my head to her.
I then ran to Saiki and hold his hand.
Let's go.
I told him in my mind as he nods his head and we left the house with his teleportation ability.
Chieko's POV:
Right after Kōri and Saiki left the house, I glance down at the letter that she gave me.I wonder what this is about?
I thought curiously as I open the letter where I widen my eyes to see something that I didn't except.
Dear grandma,
I'm sorry for what I said before. It was really rude of me to lash out like that. I was just really scared of what people think or see me as, but that all changed when I met HIM. He maybe weird and quiet, but...he's actually not bad for a guy. Hell, he also has multiple psychic abilities and...I'm glad to meet a guy like him. Still, I'm sorry for what I said yesterday. I hope you forgive me.
Love you,
Kōri Kanno. As tears starts to fall from my eyes, I crumble up the letter and hug it against my chest with a warm smile.
"It's okay Kōri...I'll always love you." I muttered to myself while tearing up where my own daughter finally made a friend for the first time.
Saiki Kusuo...thank you....
I said in my mind with a loving smile.
