Another day, another death.

All of the ship members gathered on the top deck at noon, many with frightened expressions.

The captain of the Titanic stood at the bow, facing the large crowds as he made an announcement. "I know many of you are afraid but believe me you don't have to be. The deaths of these young adults were tragic, and it's a pity that they left so soon. Most of you lot think that something supernatural is happening, but monsters only existent in the false stories parents use to frighten their children into obedience. Unfortunately, we're nowhere near shore so there's no way to dock even if I wanted to. So please just enjoy your time on the most luxurious boat at sea, and avoid going out at night just in case something really does happen."

He waved his hand to dismiss everyone and eventually all the guests did leave except for two.

"Taehyung, let's go," called Jimin, starting to walk towards the stairs.

"You go on without me," Taehyung replied, beaming a reassuring smile. His friend gave him one last look before walking away, leaving the other male alone.

Once Jimin left, Taehyung walked over to the rails to stare down into the vast blue ocean.

The winds gently tousled his light brown hair, as he watched the waves past by.

Due to the lack of company he had aboard deck, the only sounds he could hear was the water lapping at the side of the boat.

And in this moment of utter serenity and tranquility, Taehyung caught a glimpse of a turquoise blue tail beneath the waves.

"Foolish but handsome," I whispered, a grin creeping up my face. Memories of my last kills hummed in the back of my brain and I spun around in the cold water.

Several days ago, I had spotted this massive ship glide gracefully above me and had been following it ever since.

Of course, it didn't disappoint with the selection of young men, many of whom were attractive to even my eyes. And I might as well be the daughter of Aphrodite and Poseidon.

That's just how my kind were. That's just how they are.

The sound of the captain could be heard overhead as he made some sort of announcement. Most likely because of the "suicides" of the four guests.

It almost hurt how simple his coverup of my fragile work was but it was better this way.

Wouldn't want him to scare away my audience, now would we? Not when I have an enchanting song prepared.

I swam upwards, venturing closer to the surface of the water, beside the boat.

Surprisingly, there was someone standing leaned up against the railing hundreds of feet above the water.

He had crystal clear, dark brown eyes that seemed to shine through the distance between us. His hair color matched his irises, billowing in the slight breeze.

His skin held a warm healthy glow, pale but not too pale, tan but not too tan.

His ethereal beauty intrigued me as I never met a human quite as attractive.

"Who is he?" I asked myself, and for the first time since I was drawn into existence, my frozen heart leaped.

As night fell that day, Taehyung decided to creep out of his room to walk aboard deck.

Once he reached the top of the stairwell, he could hear an eerie song surrounding the boat.

He burst through the door, only to see a group of five different men of varying ages lumbering forwards towards the rails, in a zombie-like manner.

"Stop!" He cried, running forward to grip onto the wrist of the toddler.

Surprisingly, everything did stop.

From the, now dazed, males standing about, to the hauntingly beautiful song from the ocean.

"What am I doing up here?" Asked a man who appeared to be in his late 30's.

"I'm going back to bed," said another.

Slowly the deck cleared to Taehyung's relief.

He turned around only to be met with a pair of glowing, iridescent green eyes.

He gasped, jumping back slightly.

But the gaze wasn't remotely menacing but more afraid.

In front of him stood the siren, her long black hair billowing in the wind.

Since she was on land, two slender legs peeked out from her blue veil dress.

She had on a strapless turquoise bra made from the same scales as her tail. In her hair was a tiny sapphire pin, and there was an elegant blue pendant adorning her neck.

To put it simply, she was absolutely stunning, with the moonlight reflecting off of her pale, wet skin.

Taehyung was enchanted, not by magic, but by her beauty alone.

Her fearful gaze lingered on him as she back away until her calves and back hit the rail.

"What are you?" Her whispered question carried across the empty space between her and Taehyung, but before he was able to respond, the siren threw herself back into the water.

~

It's said that for every siren
There's a human who can resistant her song.

While it's fortunate that someone can oppose her,
Tales like this always end tragically.

It's destined that they'll end up falling in love
But in the end, one of them will meet the end of their fate.
