For the first night this week, there were no deaths to talk about in the morning.

There were hushed conversations circulating through the ship and there was actually some hope in everyone's eyes.

A couple smiled at each other in relief, the woman falling into her husband's arms.

Taehyung watched as they hugged, feelings bundling up. He smiled slightly, turning on his heels to continue walking around.

It was then he made up his mind. He would prevent anyone else from getting hurt, even if it meant sacrificing his sleep.

~

Later that evening Taehyung walked back up to the top deck. Seeing as he was the only one at the front of the ship, he decided to lay down on one of the benches.

The sun was warm on his face, the bottom of the large star barely kissing the horizon. It wouldn't be long before it set and for the cool night breeze to begin blowing again.

Taehyung had told Jimin that he was going on a walk around the boat so that his best friend wouldn't worry.

And it wasn't long before he fell asleep there.

.

"What are you doing here?" Asked a voice, hovering from above Taehyung.

He slowly opened his eyes, blinking to adjust to the darkness.

The siren was standing next to him, a skeptical look on her face as if she were judging.

In reality, she was just mad over the fact that she knew he would interfere with her work.

"I was planning on watching the sunset, but fell asleep," Taehyung replied, flashing his signature smile at her.

Suddenly it was like they were two normal people. Without the siren singing her song of death, she looked like any other idol from the human world.

Only, ten times prettier.

The siren raised her eyebrow at Taehyung, elegantly crossing her arms over her chest. In all reality she was feeling a little nervous, this was the first time a male hadn't thrown himself at her upon making eye contact.

With that being said, it was also the first time she had left herself so vulnerable in front of a male human.

Both displays of bravery were new. But new isn't always bad... until it leads to more.

"Where were you?" Asked Jimin, sitting on his bed with his back against the headboard and his arms crossed.

Taehyung nearly jumped, having expected Jimin to be asleep by the time he got back. He reached up, to scratch the back of his neck sheepishly. "I ended up falling asleep."

"In the middle of your walk?"

"Yeah, I took a short break and well... Here I am now."

Jimin quirked his eyebrow up at Taehyung's reply, clearly able to tell that he was hiding something. To his best friend's relief, he didn't push the matter further. Opting to shuffle properly into bed and going to sleep.

"Goodnight Jimin," whispered Taehyung, as he went to turn off the lights.

"Sweet dreams," Jimin whispered back, with a small smile.
