I feel like watching a black and white movie where she is the only one
in color.

BLACK AND WHITE
You're preparing your stuff, Jughead too. Soon, you two will be leaving the trailer for an indefinite period. You leave but you have no idea where you are going to go. You do not want to disturb Sweet Pea, Fangs or Toni by asking them to let you crash on their couch. The only thing that you have is your truck, it's almost winter, you'll freeze but you only have this.

After you finish preparing your bag you go to Jughead, you don't want to be alone in front of your father to tell him his children are going to live somewhere else because he's dangerous.

— Hey Jug, are you ready? We go tell him we're leaving?

– Yep.

You're tense, you don't know how he will react. You think back to what happened last night, and what if the same thing happened again? When you're walking you prefer to let your brother go in front of you.

– Dad, can we talk to you? — Jug says.

He is on the couch, he nods, and waits for one of you to speak. Then he looks at you with a strange look, he looks like someone who have a lots of questions running through their head. You are afraid, what can he thinks?

– Sun, what happened? Why do you have a bruise on the cheek? — He frowns, his eyes are shining.

– You don't remember ? — You have the impression that you're going to cry, you're frowning a little, you're shocked he doesn't even remember the fact that he hits his own daughter.

– Remember what? — He says with a little laugh, he doesn't understand.

– Last night when I came home you were upset and you hit me, you don't remember? — You smirk, you find this situation improbable. How a father or even somebody can forget something like this?

– I.. Yeah, actually I don't really remember the last few days to be honest.. — He was looking at his lap, playing with his fingers. He looks like a kid who knows he's done something wrong. — I think you will not forgive me, but I'm sorry for what I did. – He looks up to meet your gaze, he looks so sincere how can you not forgive him?

– Yeah, whatever. I don't wanna talk about it. And also, Jughead and I have something to tell you? — You avoid the look of your father to turn to Jughead, you nudge him to tell your dad that you're leaving.

– Hey.. um dad, we wanted to tell you that we were going to live somewhere else for some time. You started drinking too much and becoming violent, so we hope you will take control and that we will be able to come back soon. — One thing you love about your brother is the fact that when he says something he doesn't go through four ways. He has always been honest and will surely be like this forever.

– I understand kiddos, I'm sorry for everything. I don't want you to go live somewhere else but I think that's what's best for you. I'm going to take care of myself for you two because you're all I have. I promise. — He has his head resting on the palm of his hand, he looks at the ground, he doesn't wanna look at both of you because he knows if he does, he will cry, and crying in front of his children is something who never happened to FP Jones. For the first time in a few years now, he really seemed sincere, but you don't want to have many hope. Being disappointed is one of the worst feeling that exists. – I think you should go now, and if you need anything just call me or something. — He still doesn't look up, he will look up again only when the trailer door will be closed. Classic FP, not facing the reality.
