C H.3 Confusion

I walked in my room and Kat and Bre was there.
"H-how?"
"We have key!" Bre showed me but Kat pushed her a little.
"You wasn't supposed to tell her that!"
"Oh we don't have a key."
I went to her and got the key from her hand, they both sighed.
"What's wrong?"
"Is today a meeting at my house or something?"
I laid down and put a pillow over my head.
"No that's tomorrow."
"Are you dying?"
My heart breaks a little.
"Yes.."
"Who hurt you?" Kat asked.
"Technically no one..."
"Uh?" They both asked.
"It's.." I took the pillow off and looked at the picture of me and Brendan.
"Ohh"
"What did he do?" Bre asked.
"Umm nothing, completely nothing!"
"What? Then what's wrong?" They asked.
"Nothing!" I sobbed in my pillow, I'm taking this waayy too serious.
I rolled around on my bed and hopped up and walked out.
"Okay calm down. He's you're best friend of course he's gonna have girlfriends. He deserves to be happy." I said to myself and i walked back in my room.
I looked at them and took a deep breathe.
"Theirs a girl. She likes him."
They gasped.
"Who? Does he like her back?!" They said at the same time.
"I don't know.."I went to them and put my head down.
"Why don't you find someone else?"
I jerked my head up.
"What?"
"Find someone new?" Bre asked.
"..."
"It'll get you're mind off him."
"I don't know guys.. how am I supposed to do that? I see him every morning."
I took a seat between them so they could comfort me.
"Why not tell him you can't meet him tomorrow?"
I don't want to hurt his feelings... maybe it won't even hurt him but it'll hurt me.
I'm afraid to loose him.
"I don't know."
"Gimme your phone." Kat demanded.
"Why?"
"Just give it."
I gave it to her.
She started texting someone.

Me:I don't want to.
Brendan: have a nice nap ❤️
5:09pm read
Me: I can't meet you in the morning, I have to do something.
Brendan: I can help with the something then.
Me: That's sweet of you but I kinda have to myself.
Brendan: oh

"There you go." Kat gave me my phone back.
"You can walk with me and Jay."
"You're boyfriend." I told her.
"He's not my boyfriend. That's like telling you about Brendan."
I wouldn't mind that of course.
They both left and said our goodbyes.
I walked up stairs slowly thinking how I could get over Brendan.
I opened my door and closed, I looked out my window searching for an answer.
And then I saw it.
Their was a light going into my room and little clicks hitting my window.
"What the?!"
I looked down a little and saw a strange figure with a hoodie on covering their face.
I didn't wanna know who it was, my parents were gone for business.
"Did I lock the door?!"
I went down stairs to look and it was but somehow the door was getting unlocked.
"WAHA!" I cried out stumbling back on the stairs.
The figure opened the door and walked in.
"WAHA! Take what you want!"
The light shined in my eyes.
"What are you babbling on about?!" I looked and it was just Brendan.
"WHAT!? Why are you dressed up so scary!?"
He took off his hoodie and he didn't have a shirt under it, I blushed at the scene.
"It's cold out there! I was trying to get you're attention but you wouldn't look!"
"You almost gave me a heart attack!!" I punched his naked shoulder.
"Wah!"
"What ? Are you scared of skin?"
"Stop making fun of me!!!!" I punched him.
"My gosh! Light switch!"

I made him something hot to eat and something to drink.
"Ah Thanks, your the best."
"Why are you here? It's almost 9, wouldn't your parents be worried?"
"Nah, they're out of town. If you're mom is out of town you should know mine is too."
He's right, their best friends that's how me and him became best friends as well. It wasn't forced it just happened.
"So my parents told me to stay with you, I guess now I can walk with you now huh?"
"Yeah.. how long are they gone for?"
"A month or so, they're going to Florida."
"They're lucky! Alaska is always so cold!"
"Yeah, we might not even have school tomorrow."
"We'll have ETI if we don't."
"True."
He got done eating and he got the things he packed and he settled in his room.
Yes we have a room for him because most of the time he stays.
I even have my own room at his house.
"Here you go."
"Thanks."
"I'll see you in the morning."
"Yeah."
I closed his door until I heard the click.

Morning came and as we expected we didn't have school, I checked still if we had a meeting for our club.
I heard a knock at the door and it opened.
"Morning, I'm gonna go see if the coffee shop is opened. Wanna come?"
"Sure."
We got our warm clothes and snow boots on.
We both talked for awhile until we got to the coffee shop.

"Is Bre and Kat still going to the club meeting?"
"I don't know if we still have it or not."
"Jay texted and said he was up for it."
"Well we're already out so I guess we can."
We both walked to the school and unlocked our club room.
"I'll get the heat running." Brendan turned on the gas and lit the heater.
"I'll make hot chocolate for everyone."
We heard the door crack a little and Kat and Jay arrived.
We waited for Bre and she arrived.
