A Raven From Hell

Chapter 1

I open my eyes to yet another gloomy day. I stretch and smile at the lack of sunshine in the sky. Today reminds me so much of the day that I was created. Yes, created. You see, I am a demon, one of Hell's most successful and my Lord's favorite. My name is Raven, given to me by the Devil himself. Today also happens to be the anniversary of my creation. Humans call it my birthday. It has been well over over a thousand years that I've been collecting souls for Hell. I've decided that tonight I shall go to my favorite bar to celebrate, a place called Sindicate. A nephilim named Gideon opened the bar as a safe haven for all of the creatures that lurk in the dark that most humans are unaware of that exist: vampires, werewolves, elves, witches, and even other demons like myself. I've frequented this bar quite often and usually ignore the other beings there, unless I am in the mood to play with them. I pull myself out of my bed and pull on a black tank top and a pair of short black shorts. I glance in the mirror and grin at my reflection. Sindicate is one of the few places that I don't have to hide my unique demonic facial markings. I look into my yellow eyes in the reflection. I'm satisfied with my look and I snap my fingers. Instantly, I'm standing in front of the door to Sindicate. I smile at the man that is standing at the door, guarding it from unattended humans from walking in. He smiles back at me and opens the door. As I make my way further into the dark club, I pass by Gideon having a drink at the bar. He acknowledges me with a smile and a nod as well as a "Cheers" gesture. I am acutely aware of some of the patrons looking at me with lust as I walk past them. I find an empty seat at a table in the corner and order a drink.

After enjoying a few drinks and talking to a few creatures who were trying (and failing) to interest me, I notice that an unusual being has entered the bar. I've never seen him in here before but something about him intrigues me. Another shot and I make the decision to sing.
