I am still smiling as I think about Glaive when Lucifer comes to my doorway. "Did you have a fun night?" he asks. I tried to hide my smile though I know that he's already seen it. "As always, my lord," I respond. "Where did you go?" he asks, looking at me questioningly. "I visited Gideon at Sindicate, sang a little, and had a few drinks," I say. I look at my creator, trying to figure out why he seems so interested in my whereabouts tonight. "Is something wrong, my lord?" Lucifer is still standing there staring at me with his ice blue eyes. Humans tend to portray my creator as a huge red beast with horns and hooves for feet. They forget that he was once the most beautiful angel in Heaven before he was cast out. I have watched him walk among the humans and other beings, bedding any creature that he wanted because of how beautiful he is. But right now I find myself feeling uncomfortable being studied so closely by those blue eyes. "No nothing is wrong, my Dark One." I smile at the nickname that he gave me once I started surpassing demons that had been around centuries before I was created. I am the only demon that Lucifer has ever given a nickname to and I know that the other demons hate me for it. But I don't really care what any of them think. He cocks his head slightly, his long blonde hair shifting over his shoulder. "I was just wondering what has my Dark One smiling so big. The only time I've ever seen you smile like that was when you just collecting a huge soul or are causing torment."
I smile at my creator. "I just met a really interesting vampire while I was at Sindicate. He actually wasn't afraid of me," I say. He walks over to me and places a hand on each side of my face and looks deep into my eyes. "Be careful of any being that isn't afraid of you, my Dark One. It means that they may get brave enough to try to hurt you. And I'd really hate to have to rip a vampire to shreds, they're always so messy due to the extra blood." Without another word, Lucifer presses his lips to mine in a soft kiss and turns around and walks out of my room.
