Prompt: Clara has been going with a new lad, and the Doctor is jealous, until he finds out what the new guy has been doing to her. Then he's out for revenge. Sent in anonymously.

The Doctor landed in front of Clara's flat, ready to take her on some of their newly scheduled Saturday adventures. He rang the buzzer, and she let him. He walked up the steps and into her flat to see her grabbing her purse while some rough looking bloke sat on her couch watching rugby.

"Who's this Clara?" the man on the couch asked. He hadn't even glanced at the Doctor yet and was instead glaring at Clara.

"This is my friend, the Doctor. I told you he was coming today. Every Wednesday and Saturday, remember?" Clara said, obviously worried that maybe the man didn't approve of her seeing the Doctor.

The man got off of the couch and walked right up to the Doctor, holding out his hand and introducing himself as 'Dave'.

"I want her back by five, and I don't want any funny business going on here, understood?" Dave said like a father sending his daughter out on a first date. The Doctor noticed his breath smelled a lot like whiskey.

"Yes. Got it. Coooool beans," the Doctor mumbled. Clara didn't say anything, just looked at Dave.

"Do you have it Clara, or do I need to repeat it again?" Dave said, condescending. The Doctor hated him already.

"Um...yeah. Got it." She seemed afraid.

They were in the TARDIS now, but the Doctor had no intention of going anywhere until Clara told him what the hell all of that was about.

"So where to today, Chin-boy?" Clara asked, visibly relaxed.

"No where until you tell me what the hell that was about."

"What? Dave? He's just over-protective. He can be really sweet."

The Doctor wasn't satisfied with the answer, but he could see he probably wasn't going to get another answer. So he started the TARDIS and landed them in the middle of deep space. He thought Clara might appreciate the beauty of the stars. He watched her face as she opened the doors. Her eyes lit up and she reached out, trying her hardest to touch those stars. She reached a little too far and started to fall forward, so the Doctor reached out and grabbed her waist and pulled her in.

"When I said show me the stars, I never thought you would take it so literally. Thank you," Clara whispered, still watching the abyss in front of her, wide-eyed. The Doctor still had a hold on her petite waist, hugging her from behind.

"My pleasure."

They were now sitting on the edge of the TARDIS, watching the stars and talking. The Doctor decided to put his arm around Clara's shoulder and as soon she he touched her, she winced just the tiniest bit. But he noticed.

"Clara?"

"Yeah?"

"Why did you wince?"

"I've got a bruise there. I fell," she lied.

"Can I see?" he asked. He wanted to make her better.

"I guess if you really want."

"Alright then, shirt off. You won't be able to roll your sleeve up that far," he said. He didn't know she was lying. He was just trying to help.

"Oh. Um...I should warn you. It was a pretty bad fall; there are bruises all up my side too," she lied again. The lie was falling apart quickly as she took off her shirt. The Doctor immediately noticed that the bruises were fist-size and even had finger marks.

"Did Dave do this?" he whispered gently. He heard Clara crying softly beside him.

"Yeah, but he was drunk and he's really sweet when he doesn't drink. That isn't often, but he really is a good guy," she rambled.

"Clara, my beautiful Clara. If he were a good guy, he wouldn't do this to you. Even if he was drunk," he said standing up. He went over to the console and took them back to her flat. He could barely see he was so infuriated. He could hear Clara behind him begging him to just leave it alone; that Dave wasn't that bad. He couldn't believe she was being so naive.

He soniced the buzzer and burst into her flat, surprising Dave while Clara was running up behind him, situating her shirt better.

"How dare you even touch her like that?!" the Doctor spat at Dave.

"You told him? I told you not to tell anyone! Ever! Don't you love me?" Dave hollered at Clara.

"Leave her out of this! If you loved her, you wouldn't beat her," the Doctor said, grabbing Dave's shirt and throwing him against the wall. Dave wiggled out of his grasp and went over to Clara; who was now on the floor sobbing and yelling at them to stop. He pulled her up by her hair.

"You go and betray me? You bitch," Dave said, punching her in the gut. She yelped, and he slapped her in the face. The Doctor tried to get him off of her as he knocked her out. The Doctor punched Dave, who fell. He kicked Dave again and again until her stayed down.

"If you ever come near her again, I might just kill you," the Doctor whispered into Dave's ear. He pulled the unconscious Clara into his arms and walked back to the TARDIS to make sure she was never hurt again. Not ever again under his protection, under his love, under his vow to her.

So that's it. I really don't like these kinds of prompts (sorry) mostly because I feel like Clara would never get into a situation like this, and if she did, she would be smart enough to get out. Anyway, please vote, comment, and follow! Keep sending in those prompts my friends; I really do love them.
