Prompt: The Doctor gets a unicorn. Sent in by Swag_In_Sparks. Enjoy!

************

The Doctor knocked on Clara's door impatiently. She was taking forever, and he had a surprise for her. Finally Clara emerged from her room, smiling at the look on the Doctor's face.

"Clara, what the hell do you do every morning that takes so long?" The Doctor asked, playfully.

Clara ignored him and walked past, heading into the counsle room. She always loved the TARDIS (despite the fact that they had their differences). The inside of the ship was beautiful, with tall celings and those little round things on the walls. And it went on FOREVER. Clara could never really grasp the concept, but that was okay. That's what made it so mysterious and fun.

She could hear the Doctor behind her, pratically pushing her with his mind. Suddenly she felt a pair of hands grab her waist and pick her up, carrying her into the counsle room. She yelped out in surprise, which resulted in the Doctor only running faster. She giggled. Apparently she had been going too slow.

"Why the rush, Doctor?" Clara asked she had been put back down on the ground.

"I have a surprise for you. I think you'll enjoy it."

"What is it?"

"Well. We're going to Earth before any human beings lived on it, but after the dinosaurs. So, yes, it's a bit warm there. Wear shorts, but nothing you don't want dirty, and wear shoes you can run in," the Doctor said, not actually answering her question.

"What are we going to be running from?"

"Nothing. I just hate it when you wear heels or something and can't run when you need to be able to. Now off you pop. We have a long day."

After Clara had gotten dressed (again), the Doctor parked the TARDIS. He jumped out excitedly, followed by a smiling Clara. He grabbed her hand and pulled her along as he practically sprinted up the hill they were at the bottom of.

"Doctor! Why are we running?"

"We'll miss them if we don't!" he whispered back.

Clara gasped when she saw what was waiting on the other side. Unicorns. And they were all different colors: brown, white, grey, and black. They literally did look just like horses with horns.

"Wow..." Clara breathed.

"Everyone on Earth has a legend about the Unicorn. And you know why? Because they actually did exist. They just weren't magic, but since everyone said they were it got to the point where no one believed in them anymore," the Doctor informed her, still whispering.

"Can I go pet it?" Clara asked, still in disbelief.

"Of course! That's part two of the surprise," the Doctor said, grabbing her hand. Part three was getting Clara to let him keep one.

************

Clara was petting the one she had decided was her favorite; the grey and black speckled one with a dark mane. The Doctor quite liked this one too, and since Clara seemed to like it so much...

"Hey, Clara?" The Doctor asked, a bit timid.

"Yeah."

"I was thinking...let's take this one back with us on the TARDIS."

"Um...no. It'll become my pet, not yours. Plus, when will it get fed when we go on adventures? And take it out on occasion? It's a wild animal, Doctor, we can't just take it," Clara said. She was always the responsible one. The Doctor huffed in response. He stomped back into the TARDIS. Clara was no fun.

Later that night, when Clara was asleep, he quietly landed back where they were and took the Unicorn with him inside of the TARDIS. He set up a little stable with an entire room in the TARDIS that automatically fed it when it was hungry.

The next morning, Clara woke up to see the Unicorn in her room, standing by her bed.

"DOCTOR!" she yelled. She was really annoyed now.

Alright. Defiantly probably the worst one I've written ever. EVER. I spent two days on this, trying to make it good, but I soon found out I know nothing about Unicorns. I've never really been big on them (sorry). Please vote, review, follow, and as always, send in those prompts! I have about four more I'm working on right now for you guys.
