The Doctor bounced around the counsel as Clara watched, giggling. Clara had convinced him to spend the night at her flat last night, instead of her staying in the TARDIS, and needless to say, the Doctor was really excited about being back in the TARDIS. Clara was only a little offended by this because she knew how much he loved his box. Besides, they had a great night of talking and kissing in her couch, only to wake up on the floor in each other's arms.

"Clara, get ready for the adventure of a life time. And I really mean it this time. Not like any of those other times where I said that and then whatever it was we ended up doing turned into something incredibly dangerous and stupid. This is gonna be a real day of visiting things that you've never seen before, and that I probably have an don't remember because I was too busy running off and causing trouble," the Doctor rambled excitedly at the brunette in front of him. He smiled when she offered him a smile.

"Sounds good. Is there anything specific I need to wear?" Clara asked.

"Well...we're going to 1930's somewhere. Still haven't decided where. I wanted to take you to Germany, but that may not be the best idea right now, you know WWll and all. How's France sound?"

"Fine by me. I'm gonna go see what the TARDIS recommends for the occasion, then," Clara said, leaning up and kissing his cheek.

She emerged a half hour later wearing a deep purple almost blue straight skirt with a matching jacket that reminded her of a women's suit. Underneath it she wore a white button-down shirt. She had in small hoops for earrings and a blue necklace the Doctor gave her last night. She had done up her makeup so it was eccentric but light, and she let her hair hang down onto her shoulders. She smiled when she saw the Doctor, who once again hadn't even bothered to change his outfit.

"Ready, Miss Oswald?"

"Yes sir," Clara said, taking the Doctor's elbow.

"Certainly took you long enough," the Doctor mumbled, earning a small scowl from Clara that made him smirk as they strolled out of the TARDIS.

They waked down the streets of Paris, which Clara found a bit cliché, but enjoyed all the same. They admired the hats and other merchandise in the windows of the shops, but never went in to buy anything. They talked quietly, enjoying each other's company.

"I've never really thought Paris was the most romantic place ever, you know? I've always thought the most romantic place was this small little coffee shop down the road where you can sit in these window benches they have. And I always imagined I would sit down with someone and be able to talk for hours in one of those windows. I figured that's how I would know that that person was the one. When he was willing to sit in a window and talk to me about anything that happened to come up," Clara said, looking up at the man next to her. He kissed her forehead, for no reason at all. He just wanted her to know that he could be that guy.

"So you don't like Paris, then?" He asked her.

"I love Paris. It's great, and magical. Plus, I've never been here before...and that just makes it that much better."

As they continued walking, this time in silence, Clara saw a familiar looking ginger pass by, dressed in a similar outfit, also on a man's arm. Except this man had a very large nose, and she also thought he looked a bit familiar.

Apparently the Doctor also had this thought, because after the couple passed, he whirled Clara around and walked up to the pair.

"Excuse me but um, would-" he was cut off by a hug from the all-too-familiar grasp of Amy Pond.

"Doctor! What're you doing here?" Amy asked excitedly.

"Taking Clara out for the day," he responded. "Oh! Amy, Rory, this is Clara. Clara, this is Amy and Rory," he said, gesturing to everybody at the appropriate times and places.

"Hello," Clara said putting out her hand which both shook firmly.

They all decided to duck into the nearest coffee shop so the three friends could catch up. Apparently the Ponds were on a vacation. Clara didn't mind at all since she knew how much the Doctor had missed Amy and Rory. She smiled as she heard tales of the Pandorica and Salurians and Dinosaurs. She really liked them, especially Rory since she felt that he and her were not all that different.

"Wait. Wait a second. How can we be here, having coffee? What about the paradoxes we created...isn't that why we couldn't see you again?" Rory asked.

"Well, actually I really don't have any idea. But maybe it was only in affect for New York? That is an excellent question," the Doctor offered up as his only explanation.

Eventually, after about six hours of coffee and conversation, the shop owner informed them that it was time to close up, and they all stepped outside for a final goodbye.

"It was nice meeting you all," Clara said. The Ponds agreed. They actually liked Clara quite a bit, much to Clara's liking.

"Why don't you come travel with us?" The Doctor asked. He didn't really realize how much he had missed the Ponds since he had met Clara, and he wasn't sure if he could handle losing them again.

"Doctor...we'd love to, but we have a life now. Before, our lives were only really half there, but now we have real jobs and we can't," Amy said, sadly. "But we still love you, and we really needed this. Thank you Raggedy Man."

"Anytime, Pond. Well. Amy, Rory, I've got to get Clara back to the TARDIS...so um, I guess this is the last goodbye we'll ever have, so I just know that I love you both, and I miss you so very much," he said, hugging them.

Clara walked into their room, to see the Doctor on the bed. He looked miserable.

"Hey, you alright?" Clara asked, sitting down next to him.

"Yeah. I just really miss them, and it took me so long to get over them the first time..."

"It's okay. It's just like how I miss my mum. And as much as I want to go back and visit her, I know that of I did I would be devastated when I had to leave. So I get it in a way," she whispered into his hair. Somewhere they had started hugging, although when she wasn't sure.

"I love you," the Doctor said. "Thanks for sticking around and letting me visit even though it was just going to be a day for us."

"That's what you do when you love someone. You understand, and you do what you need to to make them happy."

"Where do you want to go next? To make it up to you?" He asked after about ten minutes of silent hugging.

"Anywhere works for me."

"I happen to know a certain coffee shop with the best window seats around," he said, smiling. He saw her smile in response. He knew that she really deserved it, and they both knew what the coffee shop meant.
