Natsu's PoV

It was an beautiful Saturday morning. I got to enjoy a delicious breakfast along with my Father Igneel prepared by our early visitor and my childhood friend, Lucy.

I placed my hands on my ears as Luce, my blonde haired best friend, let out an ear piercing squeal and was jumping up and down on my bed.

I looked at the messy sheets on my bed and groaned, putting my nintendo switch on my desk and leaning back on my swivel chair.

"Sheesh Luce why are you jumping like a crazy kangaroo?"

She sat down on the bed, glaring daggers at me but the smile in her face remained. She made her way towards the door and curiously, I stood up and followed her like a lost puppy.

"Where are you going?" I asked, trailing after as she grabbed her small backpack and slung it in her shoulders. Luce turned to me with a cheeky grin plastered on her face.

W-what's her deal?

"Lumen Histoire is publishing a new story!" she squealed, her hair bouncing on every step she took as she proceeded towards the living room where my dad sat in the couch and drowning himself in coke and netflix.

"Igneel-san were gonna go on the bookstore for a little bit!" waving a hand lazily, my father did not said anything yet my crazy blonde companion seemed giddy.

"Who said I would come with you?" I asked but stuffed my wallet in my back pocket anyway.

"You will come with me whether wou like it or not"

"Who died and made you the boss?"

She puffed her cheeks in a pout. "Fine, I'm going by myself then" with that, she stormed outside our home while I take a jog after her.

After a few blocks, she looked back at me.

Her eyes made contact with mine.

I lost myself in a daze when her big brown chocolate orbs and her golden irises shone.

It was beautiful.

She was beautiful.

"Don't follow me idiot"

With that, she stuck her tongue out and continued walking.

I adored Lucy. She was strong-willed and was the type that never gives up on something once she dedicated herself in it.

Layla-san, her mother died from an unknown illness while her Father passed away a year ago because of sickness. Lucy had been living with Levy McGarden, a really short girl around her age in a dorm.

She was a bookworm. Someday, she told me that she wanted to be a novelist like her idol, Lumen Histoire. Aside from that she had a really great voice.

Any man would be lucky to date her.

Almost all of the male population in our academy had crush on her. Even Gray Fullbuster, my biggest enemy and rival. Just thinking about it made my blood boil.

Entering the bookstore, I lost sight of Lucy. She was always like this, giddy whenever she take step inside the room full of books.

"Look what we have here. A fairy"

My eyebrows furrowed at the cocky voice coming from a guy with platinum blond hair. He has a smirk playing on his face while he gazed tauntingly at me.
