Cardo Auditore Dalisay was born and raised in the mountain village of Botolan, Philippines. His childhood was good and he is a good and obedient kid at home and school which means he didn't had the time for a relationship. His parents had successful careers where his father Manuel is the village doctor while his mother Camia had her own successful restaurant. He took interest in professional wrestling when he visited his cousin Alex one day at their apartment in Manila. Cardo saw his first wrestling match on WWE between the Undertaker and Batista at WrestleMania 23. Alex told Cardo that he wants to pursue a wrestling career in which his parents gave their support.

After graduating from college years later while at the same time being a WWE fan, Cardo told his parents that he is interested of pursuing a career in professional wrestling like his cousin and much to the delight of the young Dalisay, his parents approved of his passion. So Cardo started training intensively and he started to wrestle for small shows in Manila. In one of his matches, a scout from NJPW took interest in Cardo and offered him a contract in which Cardo was really happy and made the deal.

Cardo made a name for himself in NJPW after helping the Young Bucks retain their IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship and at the same time revealed himself to be a member of Bullet Club. He managed to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship with some help from Bullet Club.

Three years after his New Japan contract expired, Cardo got a call from Triple H and he was offered a contract to work in WWE. This news brought excitement to Cardo as he is offered to be a part of the biggest wrestling company in the world. He soon flew to the US and met with Triple H. His contract will bring him to SmackDown where he meets his cousin Alex and his girlfriend Alexa Bliss, but what he doesn't know is that Cardo has captured the attention of Becky Lynch.
