It was another SmackDown episode for the group, and over for more than two weeks, Cardo and Becky got closer and acted like best friends. The other four took notice of this.
Charlotte: I'm already replaced?
Becky: don't worry Charlotte, you're still my bestie. Same goes for Lexi, Bayley and Sasha
Alex: well it seems you two are getting along well
Lexi: is there something going on between you two?
Cardo: Becky was still a bit scared
Becky: I wasn't scared
Cardo: sure you weren't
Becky: shut up
She said as she blushed
Cardo: and Lexi to answer your question, there is nothing going on between us. You should already know me
Lexi: alright...
Alex: whatever you say...
The six went to catering as the show started. Becky got her food and sat down with Cardo.
Becky: hey
Cardo: what's up, Champ?
Becky blushed of Cardo's compliment
Becky: you know what will be GRAPE?
She said as she unleashed a pun out of nowhere and Cardo laughed.
Cardo: what will be GRAPE?
Becky: you winning a championship
Cardo: I see that happening soon
Becky: it will, trust me
Cardo: thanks Becky
He said as he gave her a side hug which made her blush. As they continued eating, a pair of hands covered Becky's eyes.
Becky: who's this?!
???: guess who?
Becky: Sami?
Sami: you guess right
Becky turned around and saw her long time friend Sami Zayn. She ran to him and hugged him tightly. Cardo saw this and a combined expression of surprised and confused was on his face.
Cardo: Becky, who is your friend?
Becky: oh sorry, Cardo this is my long time friend Sami. Sami this is my new friend Cardo.
Sami: nice to meet you, Cardo
Sami said as he held his hand out.
Cardo: pleasure is all mine
Cardo said as he returned the handshake while drawing a fake smile. On the outside he was surprised, but on the inside he felt an emotion he never felt before.
Sami: so you're the guy who made a big name in Japan?
Cardo: that's right. I was trained by AJ
Sami: AJ Styles?
Cardo: the Phenomenal One, yes
Sami: oh wow, that's great. May I ask, do you have a match tonight?
Cardo: yes I do. Excuse me, I gonna go change, so I'll see you later and it's nice meeting you Sami.
Sami: nice meeting you too
Cardo stood up and he walked down to his locker room. He entered his locker room, sat down and thought to himself.
