Date!

Nope I am not talking about the one that you see in the calendar.

I am talking about the one in which you go out and meet someone about whom you know a very little about. A date where you get to know... umm... maybe your potential lover.

Dating is all about romance the things that we have read about in different books, novels or maybe seen in movies. From the roses by your lover to a romantic candle light dinner.

A date is a mere word which holds a lot of power which is not known until you are told to go out with someone that can bring a thousand thoughts and jitters in your whole body because of the anticipation of not knowing what will happen. Whether the person infront of you will like you or not or will you make out a total fool of yourself like maybe talking something total nonsense or eating like a starved person. Oh you might think these things can't happen but when you have a person you want to impress trust me anything can happen.

And then there is blind date when the two people have not even met... if you are lucky you may have heard about them, had an online chat with them which is quite famous these days... but let me remind ypu if you belong to the unlucky squad you have no freaking idea who the person is... so you might think then why will these people meet?? Oh! Thats all because of the devils we call friends and sometimes best friends.

This is what happened to me... the she devil of the girl i called by best friend has called me a few minutes back and said that i have to go on a date with someone i didn't know a thing about and hung up on me saying she will be there in an hour till the time i am done cooling off my anger.

Confused!!?? I will tell you what exactly happened. Oopsiess! I forgot to tell you my name... Hello everyone! This is Sanyukta Agarwal and this is my story of how i got stuck up in A Blind Date!

*** Flashback ***

Sanyukta had just reached her flat. The house was shared by her and her best friend since school Vidushi Kumar. They have been inseparable since childhood and after completing their studies of Mechanical Engineering as planned they have rented a house together away from home in their dream city New York.

They both work for the same firm and what can the girls could have asked more. A life full of enjoyment and on their own will and with no restrictions. Doesn't mean that they wanted to do something wrong but the feeling of freedom was amazing.

Sanyukta had just sat on the couch when her phone rang and a frown stretched on her face seeing the caller id.

Sanyukta : Why are you calling me?? Aren't you supposed to be on a date??

Vidushi : Ummm... actually i wanted to tell you something.

Sanyukta : Why are you so nervous?? What did you do?? Did you crash your car into someone again! Oh god! I have told you so many times not to drive you should have waited for Parth...

Vidushi : Chill!! I have not crashed into anything. I am not that bad driver. Get that.

Sanyukta : Then what happened?? A fight with Parth... well let me tell you whatever it is he is right... so just accept whatever he is saying cause he doesn't make wreckless decisions so just pity the poor guy and don't show him tantrums...

Vidushi : Wow!! So much of faith in him. I wonder why are you even my best friend.. you should be his friend you know with all the support you give him.. but i didn't fight with him.

Sanyukta : I know you babe thats why i know what all craziness you can show. Now tell me what is it!?

Vidushi : Youhaveablinddatetomorrowsojustmakeupyourmindandcooldownyourangerbythetimeicome.

Sanyukta : Woman!! I dont speak gibberish so better say clearly and if you have food in your mouth romove it and then talk.

Vidushi : I was saying that you have a blind date tomorrow so just make up your mind and cooldown your anger by the time i come.

Sanyukta : Haha!! Seriously tell me what is it??

Vidushi : I am serious it is arranged by Parth. I am sorry i didn't want to tell you like this but i knew you would kill me that's why i am telling you on call.

Sanyukta : I am sorry! You have got to be kidding me. What are you?? Drunk??

Vidushi : I am not drunk Sanyu!! But i am serious... just get settled with this news by the time i come so we can talk about tomorrow. Now gotta go Parth is here. Love you babes.

Sanyukta : B.. but listen... This woman just hung up on me like that. She will have it from me when she comes back.

And everyone this is how i was stuck up in a blind date. Though I still hope its a joke but knowing Vidushi and Parth i can only wonder what will happen of me because of this crazy couple.
