A Blind Date

Randhir smiled looking at the beauty who was fast asleep in his bed. He couldn't thank his lucky stars more than what he has got today. His love. His princess. Her confession had totally blew him off but nonetheless made him the happiest man. The only sad part to it was that he never got totell her his thoughts cause before he could speak she had already fainted in his arms. Checking on her once again he went to the guest room to take a bit of rest cause today has been totally and exceptionally eventful. Things have gone the way he hadn't expected but he was grateful that it happened as it did.

He remembered how Parth had came to him one evening after office hours at his home and asked him about girlfriends and stuff. He had found it weird but told him anyway that he had none and currently he wasn't ready for any relationship. Then he had proposed to go to a blind date and he had denied automatically. Even the idea of this was weird for him. He had kept himself from dating since years hoping that fate and cupid will play a game for him and he would be able to meet his love again. His Sanyukta again. He was all set to stick to his answer but then Parth had literally pleaded to him telling that it was a one time thing and has already said a yest to his girlfriend whose apparently best friend was to be his date and if this didn't get through his relationship with her might would hamper and he didn't want that for him. He knew how precious was love and that was the only reason he had accepted the offer begrudgingly.

But boy that was the best decision he has made. It was a blessing in disguise for him. Though he had second thoughts of him going to the date and wanted to rather run away somewhere but he had gone and look how he has got the reward for it.

When he first saw Vidushi he was shocked that she was the one Parth was dating. He had known her from school time and he knew how different was she from Parth but as they say opposites attract and when he saw the look in Parth's eyes he knew how mesmerised he was from her and when he looked at the person who has come with Vidushi his heart has stopped for a while he couldn't breathe cause he had the same look Parth was sporting few seconds ago. He couldn't help but adore her. His first love. His Sanyukta.

As the years have passed, he could see how beautiful she has turned out to be. She was beautiful earlier too but now her beauty has more enhanced. He wasn't sure what to talk to her while they sat and thinking that may be she had tried this blind dating earlier too he was jealous and had asked the stupid question "How many times she has tried blind dating!?" But the look on her face and told her what a wrong question it was and then he had mentally kicked himself and decided to be quite and answer how much asked. Cause it is better to be safe than sorry. He knew by the end of the night he wanted to be friends with her that was the only reason he had agreed for club cause she was going. He wanted to talk to her but she kept on drinking and when he had wanted to take her home she wanted to tell him things.

Lets just say that those words were the best thing that he happened to hear all his life. And he could hear words gave him a sense of happiness as it gave new meaning to life. New conclusions. New everything. And now he knew he was never letting her go. He could still remember word by word what she had said to him. Though it had hurt to see her this sad but now things are going to be right and he is going to make them.

*** Flashback ***

Sanyukta : I... i have to tell you that...

Sanyukta stumbled a bit and was about to fall when Randhir caught her.

Randhir : It's better we go Sanyukta. We will talk about this tomorrow. Okay!??

Sanyukta : Nooooooo... Wh... why do you this ha!?? Why don't you let me talk!?? When that bimbo was talking you never stopped her! Tell me d.. do you like her (with teary eyes and lips quivering.)

Randhir : What! No! I don't even know her. You know what lets talk. I will let you say whatever you want to say but first lets go and sit somewhere less noisy. Okay?

Sanyukta (smiling brightly) : Okayyy!

Randhir and Sanyukta went to a quieter corner of the club and sat there.

Randhir : Okay tell me...

Sanyukta : Idotknowhotostart

Randhir : What!?

Sanyukta : I don't know h..how to s..start. Re..remember how we used to be friends in school b.. but then the tea..teasings started and h..how yo..you stopped talking to me. I..it used to hurt you know. A...All those years back i had a c.. crush on you. I wa..was shy i couldn't tell it to you and how could when you only considered me a friend and i ne..never wanted to ruin our friendship. I wa..wanted to hide these feelings but as much as i tried i fell deeper. N..no matter how much i tried these feelings started w..wed..wedging deeper and deeper into my heart. I couldn't control it, and i hated it. Hated how i could feel things happening to me with your every s..smile, laugh or even fr..frown. Unwil...lingly I everytime found myself much deeper than i already was. It was sc..scary cause what started as a minor little crush was no longer minor and little. I never expected it to become this inte..intense. Hell i never knew any crush could be this intense. But while this all was happening to me you chose the other way around you started ignoring me... avoiding me... and one day finally came when you stopped talking to me. You made me feel like a nob..nobody. The way you used to ignore me sometimes made me doubt my existence. Where i was feeling everything for you... you fe..felt nothing. It hurt very much. And I thought after school when i..i won't see i will finally be free from these feelings. Away from it finding my own happiness but see the luck you and your presence were always there. Places i wouldn't expect were the places i would find you. It hurt me to get all that ig..ignorance. See my luck i went on a blind date and e..even that turned out to be you. Hahahaha.... my li..life. Saddest part is I still love you but you don't... you don't...

Saying this Sanyukta fainted in his arms. Randhir took her in bridal style and walked out of the club and laying her in his car he quickly messaged Parth about him leaving with Sanyukta and to tell Vidushi not to worry about her as he was taking her to his home as she was drunk and has already fainted and he would take care of her.

Parth and Vidushi seeing the text knew something has happened as they had saw them talking and seeing that Randhir was taking her his home they believed that, that something was positive.
