My aunt got me a very nice room in their house. She said that she is the one personally arranged and decorate it for me. The room was very cozy and neat. The color of the room is very pleasing and relaxing to the eyes, with a motif of powder pink and teal. Beside my bed is a big glass door with an elegant gold earthy curtain. Outside is the veranda with the view of their beautiful garden. Omo! I could really live in this kind of haven forever. Back to my room, on the other side of my bed was a small cabinet with a pink lampshade and a flower vase on the top of it. Across my bed was big flat Led TV on the wall. A dvd player and a lot of dvds also. I also have my own bathroom inside my room. My aunt really put a great effort preparing and arranging my room. I'm so overwhelmed.
"Omo Auntie! gomawoyo. You really don't have to do this, but thank you very much it was very beautiful."
"Gwaenchanha, my dear. It's my pleasure. Anyway, have yourself a rest first. I know you're tired because of your flight. I'll just call you if the dinner is ready. Arashii?" she said.
"Arasseo auntie. Thankyou again." I said smiling.
"You're very welcome dear. Go, rest now." I just nodded for an agreement. After that she walks towards my door and step outside my room. Ahhh! Auntie is right; I'm so tired because of my flight. So I decided to take a bath first before sleeping.
I slept for more than two hours I think, and it's already getting dark outside. My aunt is probably preparing our dinner at this time. So I hurriedly get myself up from my bed, because I want to help her cook our dinner. As I walk downstairs, I saw Chris playing video games and samchon reading newspapers at the living room. I went straight ahead the kitchen and saw auntie slicing some vegetables. She didn't notice me because she is busy and focused on what she is doing. So I decided to call her attention.
"Auntie, what are you going to cook?" I saw her startled and put her right hand on her chest and let out a heavy sigh.
"Ahhh, Aigoo Kendra. You scared me. I thought you're still sleeping. Why wake up too early? You still didn't have enough rest." My aunt said.
"Sorry auntie. I didn't mean to scare you. I was just trying to call your attention. Ahhm. about my rest, I need to go to the restroom a while ago and when I try to go back to my sleep, I couldn't anymore so I decided to come here downstairs to help you prepare dinner." I explained. "Anyways, what are you going to cook auntie? Can I help you?"
"Oh, is that so dear? I'm going to cook curry and we'll going to have bossam for dinner."
"Really, auntie? I love bossam! Can I prepare and wash the lettuce?"
"Ohh, sure dear. Go ahead." She said. So I go on preparing the lettuce.
"Auntie, where's the meat? Is it already grilled?" I asked.
"Yes dear. The helper is already grilling it outside." My aunt answered.
"Oh, I see aunt."
After the foods are all prepared and ready we started to eat. I waited for my aunt and samchon to start before I touched my food for a sign of respect to them.
"Jal mukusseubnida." I said before I started to eat. It means "I will eat well" in Korean.
"Ahahaha! I guess Kendra here is well-packed honey." Uncle said. Me and my auntie smiled and nodded for a response. The dinner is indeed very delicious it makes me very full.
"Umma, can Kendra noona join us going to Gangnam tomorrow? It would be fun noona. It'll will be 90% sure that you can spot a Korean celebrity there." Chris said.
"Oh! Yah, I almost forgot to tell you about that Kendra. You can go with us tomorrow. We own a salon in Gangnam district and we have a lot of Korean celebrity customers there. Most of the time we are there to visit the salon."
"Ooh really auntie? You didn't tell us about that salon. Omo! Of course I'd love to." I said. Then I looked at Chris. "Thanks for reminding your mom Chris boy." I said to him. And Chris just smiled cutely to me and continued his eating. Chris is such a lovable little prince.
"But you must wake up earlier than usual tomorrow my dear. We will be leaving early in the morning. Is that okey?" my aunt said.
"That's not a problem with me auntie. I used to wake up early anyway." I said.
I went to bed happily because of the thought that I might get to meet a Korean celebrity tomorrow and I will get to visit the famous Gangnam District. I would surely buy some signature clothes and makeups in Garosu-gil and Shinsa-dong for a souvenir.
My aunt's salon is located at the Chongdam Street. According to my aunt, this is the street where you can find all the luxury brands and famous salons, that's why many stars are frequently spotted here.
As we enter the salon, the employees bowed at us and greet us, so we greeted them back also. My aunt's salon was very clean and spacious. It was elegantly illuminated and the floor was well polished. The walls are completely and stylishly furnished too. There are two long mirrors with vanity bulbs surrounding it's boarders that are crossways with each other. On the front of the mirror you can spot different kinds of cosmetics and beauty products. So, this is what salons look like in Korea, very pretty and elegant.
"Wow auntie! Your salon is a five-star like salon." I said with an impressed tone.
"Haha! You can find many salons here that are way more elegant than mine dear. Don't get too overwhelmed." She said to me smiling.
"Ohh, I'm sorry auntie. I'm just too excited because of your salon." I giggled.
"It's okey dear. By the way, you wanna go stroll around here in Gangnam? You can bring Chris with you, if you want. Chris knows Gangnam very well."
"Sure Auntie, I'd love too." I turned to Chris "Chris do you want to go with me?" I asked him. "Sure Noona. I will be your tour guide for now." He giggled. "Thanks baby, so let's go? Aunt, we're going now." I said to my Aunt.
"Ok, take care you two. Annyong!" Said aunt.
"Annyong Umma!" Chris said.
Chris and I walked around Gangnam. We went to some stores here in Gangnam and bought some nice stuff like stylish clothes, accessories, and make-ups. After we strolled around, Chris got hungry so we decided to eat in a Korean-Chinese infused restaurant. Chris decided to eat jjajangmyeon and I decided to eat kkansyo shrimp and sweet and sour fried pork. Hmmm! Masisseoyo!
This day was very fun. I had a fun time touring in Gangnam with Chris. We walked around, got the chance to shop pretty and nice stuffs even though I didn't get the chance to meet a Korean celebrity as I expected, but all in all, I really had so much fun.
