Its been a week since that day. Today is Ash's birthday party. In the 20 years she has lived, she had only 3 birthday parties. After that, her mother had become too busy to celebrate her daughter's birthday. Now, she has enough time to celebrate her birthday, although she's only hosting this party for a charity event.

Ash wasn't exactly excited for the party, or her birthday. She never celebrated her birthday with anyone but herself. Sad, but it was better than to spend it with people she didn't know.

A knock was heard at the her door and it brought her back to her senses. "Come in." She said, as she grabbed her brush. The door slowly opened and a maid appeared. "You should get ready soon. The guests will arrive soon." The maid said. Ash began brushing her hair, bottom to the top. "Your mother said-" Ash shut her up, "I know. I'll get ready." The maid nods and leaves, closing the door behind her.

Ash opened her closet and took out a long red dress. She ran her fingers against it, examining it. The dress was bright red, strapless, and it has a slit on the right side. Simple, but gorgeous.

"I don't look too bad." Ash said, checking herself out in the mirror. She checked the time and thought it was time to head downstairs. She quickly put on some nude heels and opened her door. She wasn't downstairs yet, but she definitely heard people talking and laughing. She walked down slowly. Not having a birthday party in years really affects the way you socialize with people. However, it shouldn't be too different from a normal party. After getting to the bottom of the stairs, there's a hallway that leads to the party room. She starts walking towards the room. Her heels were clacking against the floor, which was a little annoying.

People in the party room obviously heard the heels against the floor, which told them to quiet down. Suddenly, Ash walked into the party room. Everyone stared at her, and she wasn't hard to miss. After all, she was wearing a bright red dress. F4 were already there, and Si was shocked. She looked gorgeous, almost like a goddess. Meizuo and Ximen didn't seem very shocked, as if they were the ones to dress her. Lei was quiet but his heart was loud. He felt warm and butterflies were forming in his stomach. He had never felt anything like that for anyone, other than Jing.

The thing was that he couldn't have feelings for her. In the last week, Si told them about the feelings he got. Obviously Meizuo and Ximen teased him a little, but they eventually told him that he probably has feelings for her. He denied it, of course, but even if that's the case, Lei shouldn't have feelings for her. Si could change his mind whenever he wants. Crushing on the same girl can cause too many problems and Lei doesn't have the energy to deal with something like that.

Ash stopped walking when she reached Si. She grabbed a glass of champagne and took a sip. She looked at Si and tilted her head, "How do I look?" Si looked at her and took that as an excuse to check her out again, "You don't look so bad." He chuckled and put his glass down. Ash raised an eyebrow, "I could say the same about you." Si scoffed jokingly, "I look dashing."

Lei couldn't help but feel sad as they both continued to tease each other. Ximen and Meizuo joked about them both. They pulled in Lei, but Lei didn't feel like joking around. He felt hurt, but he can't say anything because of Si.

Ash's mother, Lucinda Yang, was talking to a couple of people. She was a very sociable person since she's a business woman. A couple with their son came in, gift in hand. Ash was instructed to receive the gifts personally, so she made her way towards them and greeted them. Lucinda noticed the people and quickly walked towards them. "Mrs. Fan! Mr. Fan! Welcome, thank you for coming." Lucinda smiled at them. She went in for a warm hug. Their son, Lukas Fan, handed Ash her gift. He smiled at her; he seemed genuine. Ash smiled back at him, but she didn't feel the same way he did.

Si looked at them both but he wasn't very happy about it. He walked forward, but Lei stopped him. "You're going to ruin the mood of the party. Bad impression." He said. Si calmed down, but Lei had ulterior motives. He didn't want Si to take her. Lei had never felt this way before. He felt bad since he should be happy for his friend, but his heart is making him do things he doesn't usually do.

"Yes, it's the best choice to get them married as soon as they graduate." Mr. Fan said, taking a sip of his cup. Lucinda smiles brightly and nods, "I'm glad you think that. That way we can combine our businesses without any trouble." Ash couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her mother was making her get married to someone she just met. Lukas seemed shocked too, since his eyes widened when he heard the news. He tried talking to his mother, but she just grabbed his hands and patted them. Ash sat back and crossed her legs, taking a couple of sips of her drink. Lukas seemed to notice her because he tried to avoid eye contact at all costs.

Their little meeting ended, and Ash and Lukas had to spend time alone. Ash didn't want to, instead she wanted to be with Si and the guys. Lukas is cool and all, but he wasn't her type. How are they going to get married if he isn't her type? Lukas thought she was hot since he first saw her. He wouldn't mind being stuck with her, although she clearly didn't want to be there with him.

They both sat there in silence, eventually taking sips of their drinks. "So uh, what's up?" Lukas says, leaning back. He slightly spreads his legs. He's a seductive guy and that could be very dangerous. Ash looks at him and puts her glass down, "Okay, listen. I don't want anything to do with you." Lukas chuckles and crosses his arms, "I don't think you get to decide, beautiful." Ash slightly smiles and looks away.

Lei was getting bored and he needed the bathroom, so he quickly head upstairs to find the bathroom. He wasn't sure where it's located, so he started to look in every unlocked room. Eventually, he came across Ash and Lukas.

"What are you doing here?" Ash stood up and looked at him. Lukas looked up at him and rolled his eyes. "I was just looking for the bathroom." Instead of finding the bathroom, he found something he didn't want to see. Lukas chuckled and placed his fist on his chin. Lei was jealous; why is she with this idiot? Ash sighed in relief and pushed Lei out the door. She closed the door behind her, "Thank you for finding me. He was such a pain." Lei frowned and nodded slowly. "Oh yes, the bathroom." Ash realized and quickly turned around to point at the bathroom.
