Jessi and I  walk out of school, while Nathan  tries to catch up with us, blabbing about a bracelet he made yesterday. Nathan makes jewelry, although he's always secretive about it because he's afraid of people making fun of him. Nathan twists the bracelet on his arm, that has wooden looking charms on them, which matches the necklace he's
wearing.

"Nathan, give it a rest. I'm trying to think for once." Jessi presses her hand against her head, like she has a headache.

"You're always talking about your boyfriend. Why can't I talk about about my dang bracelet?" He says it with force, but his eyes look glazed over.

"Guys, stop fighting. This is stupid. Stop giving each other the silent trea.." I stopped mid sentence because they weren't giving each other the silent treatment anymore. They were fighting, throwing up their hands and practically yelling at each other.

A car swerves by us, making me want to throw the hood of my sweatshirt over my head, and run away from Nathan and Jessi's fight. The window rolled down, and I saw a guy wearing shades and had fluffy curly hair. Wait a minute. That's Kenny!

"Lordy, this makes me not miss high school, which I mean what's fun about it?" Kenny flipped up his shades, and winks at us.

"Kennyyyy. Hi!" Nathan grins, his eyes twinkling. Nathan looks up to Kenny, because of how carefree and relaxed he is.

"Oi. Nice necklace, bud. Make me one." Kenny pointed at Nathan's necklace.

"Oh, thanks," Nathan beamed, glancing down at his necklace.

"Sarah, your mom is working late, so she told me to pick you up." Kenny pushed his shades onto his forehead.

"Uh okay. Cool. You guys wanna ride with us?" I turned to face Jessi and Nathan.

"No, we're go-" Jessi starts.

"YES!" Nathan screams and opens the backseat car door with a wham.

I chuckled and Jessi sighed. "Fine, we'll do it your way."

I jumped into the passenger side, and Kenny turned up the music ear-piercingly loud. "Stacey's Mom" blasted in the car, and we could feel the beat in our hearts. Ken rolled down the windows and we screamed the words to the song as loud as our voices could go.
