Martin

I opened my eyes to see fluffy white clouds and  a bright blue sky.

How easy it was to think that I was alive, that everything was a lie.

I saw things in the sky.

A puppy, a kitten, a tree, laptop, a keyboard, a shift key.

I felt like I was lost.

I was still in the field,

But my mind was elsewhere.

I saw him standing there.

Martin.

I stood stiff and frozen when he came over and hugged me. I was going to win.

he said 'I missed you Lily.'

Wait?

Since when did he know my name?

Why wasn't he looking at me with shame?

Ashley appeared. 'This isn't real.' I said.

 She said 'Its real Lil. I can't wait until your both wed.'

My dream was being lived, yet I knew something was not right.

I could suddenly see a bright light.

It was right in front of me and Martin told me not to go.

Ashley said 'Go with the flow.'

'No' Is all I said before going back to the field and looking in the clouds.

But this time I saw his face in the clouds.

"Martin."
