Chapter Five
"So welcome to detention students. No talking, texting, or anything else bad." The teacher said.
I raised my hand."What if we need to use the bathroom?" I asked.
"Oh well. Now I'll be right down the hall." The teacher left.
I put my head on the desk. As soon as I was about to fall asleep, someone tapped my shoulder.
"What?" I asked while keeping my head down.
"Hey baby momma." Ashton said while smiling.
Wow he looks so delicious.
Wait what?
You heard me, he looks delicious.
Tuh, you ain't wrong.
I know.
Okay okay shut up.
"E'Lisa to earth.. are you there?" Ashton asked while snapping his fingers."I'm sorry, what were you saying?"
"I said where do you work at? Remember you said you have a job."
"Oh, I work at the diner by the beach. Mr. And Mrs. Colton owns it." I tell him.
"My parents." he said.
"Your parents what?" I asked confused.
"The Colton's are my parents. They own a lot of things." He admitted.
"Oh that's... good, I guess."
"Yeah it is. Hey maybe I can pick you up this week from work so we can start our baby project?" Ashton asked.
"Yeah that'll be nice Ashton." I smiled at him.
There was a silence until I broke it."So, where's the baby?" I asked.
"In my book bag." He admitted.
I was gonna say that it can die but it was an it, so it doesn't matter.
I'm so funny. I also need to stop talking in my head.****
"So, how was detention with my brother?" Ashley asked.
"It was fine the week went by fast with minimum attempts to annoy me." I laughed through the phone.
"Where are you the movie starts at seven?" Ashley asked me.
"I'm just getting off of work your brother is picking me up." I confessed.
"Mhhm." She said.
"Oh he's here. I'll see you later." I hung up and walked to his 2014 red Camry.
"Hello E'Lisa. Let's go." He opened the passenger door for me and I got in.
It smelled like vanilla in here and I just couldn't help to take a deep breath. Breathing in and out the amazing scent."You like my car?" he asked nervously.
"It smells great." I breathed out.
"Thanks. Bought that scent thing from the gas station."
"It's nice." I said quietly.
"So buckle up so we can go."
I did as he said and we pulled off. It was a silence until his phone started ringing.
"Yes." He breathed out.
"I'm driving to my house."
He said with clenched teeth.
"With- with E'Lisa." He hesitated."We have a project together, I'm not sleeping with her." He yelled out.
That must be Jennifer.
