To: Contamination Department

Subject: Increased amounts of Contamination

This mail is to address specific issues that have occurred in the Asia Pacific region.

Firstly, increased amounts of VX have been found in coastal regions in the past two weeks. They have been causing severe boils and rashes for the Collectors we sent down earlier. Many have even had major skin corrosion and over 12,000 have been discarded. At this rate, they are demanding more than the past two years and we are running short of our water supply sent to new purification systems. I'm afraid that even though there is 1/10th of our population remaining from what it was 200 years ago, we will soon fall by another 20%.

On another note, 2 tonnes chlorine trifluoride has washed onto the shores of beaches in India - Juhu beach being the first, Myanmar and Thailand, at what was once known as the Ko Samui (beach). The entire shoreline for all of these countries blew up completely and 1.324 billion have crumpled into the acid pits.

At this rate, few intelligent minds will be left and the purpose might not be served re: to rescue elite minds to shift and continue the existance of the inhabitants of the planet on another. The H2O synthesis unit is progressing slowly, and more may have to be dropped.

Please asses the situation in all its magnitude and take action ASAP.

Regards,

This was the mail my mom had just composed when I approached her wing of the Bleeper. She seemed extremely stressed - when my sister came in.

'What's wrong Mumma?' she asked in that slightly sentimental yet mostly chirpy way 5-year-olds do.

'Nothing, beta. Here, have a glass of water. It's important to keep hydrated.' she said, with a half crooked smile handing her a plastic glass of water she had purified in her personal kit 8 times.

'Everything will be okay.'

Through the windows of the Bleeper, I looked down at the deserted wasteland bellow. Barren and desolate, except for one or two severely misshapen Collectors. This was the world we lived in today, a world where millions of people died every day and our only hope was to shift to another biosphere, demolishing it the same way we did this one.

Yeah. Yeah, right.
