"Has anyone visited you yet, Yuhan?"

This was a disappointing greeting Jiahao adopted as his hope for Yuhan's visitor to come declined. Although, on the bright side, you could say that Jiahao Liu himself was a visitor of Yuhan's. A rather frequent visitor.

In response, the look on Yuhan's face was distant. He couldn't say nor exchange another word, but his face showed everything Liu Jiahao needed to know. Jiahao smiled lightly as he couldn't help himself but ask.

"Sorry about the books from yesterday. They might've been weird for you to read since I only borrowed it from my sister."

It was only then Jiahao glanced at the nearby desk that usually held all of Yuhan's books. There were the books he lent just yesterday and... Yuhan's bookmark wasn't in any of them.

"Woah- You already finished the books I lent you? What do I do with you then...?"

Jiahao thought and thought until his mouth shaped like the number zero. Then, he let out an 'Oh!'.

"I'll tell you a small story. A few years ago, it was my sister's - pause - birthday, and somehow everybody around the hospital knew that. Even the patients. The horrible part is was that doctors couldn't receive presents from their patients..."

Liu Jiahao changed the topic as soon as it felt like the conversation backed him up to a corner. He didn't like talking about his family any more than that.

"So, my birthday's coming up soon. Want me to show you? It's right around here..!"

Jiahao stood up and walked over to a calendar which was by the door. He flipped the page onto the next month and pointed to a day.

December 4th.

His eyes scanned the whole page quick enough he ended his sentence with a question. There was a red circle the day before Jiahao's birthday. And oddly enough, Jiahao never said anything about his birthdate.

"What? Oh- It looks like I probably did tell you about it before..."

Yuhan shook his head.

"Yes or no: Did you secretly find out?"

' 那。。。我不能说。'
