Chapter 10

     As we got comfortable, I texted Kellin. I told him that I was going to show Sara her birthday present. He told me to go ahead and relay her reaction to him after I did it. I opened my suitcase and pulled it out.

"Hey, Sara. Come here." I yelled out to her softly.

"Yeah?" She replied and walked out of the bathroom.

"I got you something," I told her. She shook her head.

"What? Why?" She asked.

"Well, it is your birthday and I know you're going to love this," I replied and pulled the shirt from behind me.

     I lifted it up and held it out to her. It was a black shirt with a purple galaxy on the front. A house at the bottom broken up with a black ghost coming out of the house. It read "Pierce The Veil" on the front in a black thick font. It was probably one of my favorite pierce the veil shirts. She slightly freaked out. I'm pretty sure that this is the first band tee she's ever had for herself.

"Oh my gosh. I love it so much Scarlet" She said with excitement, taking it from me, hugging it to her chest. She seemed so happy.

"My dad never got me anything for my birthday. He never even acknowledged my birthday." She told me, still holding the shirt to her chest.

"I use to hurt myself every night because I hate myself, in fact, the only person I trust as of the moment is you Scarlet and that's only because she saved me from the person who was supposed to love me the most. Sometimes, Kellin even scares me. I flinch every time he hugs me but for some reason I also trust Vic, he saved me from myself. He automatically checked my bag when he has seen me this morning, in private and seen the razor. He threw them away but I still know where I can find some." She told me. I hugged her tightly.

"I know what it's like to feel sad and upset. You are so perfect Sara. We can help each other with the cutting." I replied to her, trying to comfort her.

     She stood up and put on her new jacket well it was my old one but I could tell that she loved it more than me. There was a knock at the door. I got up, looking through the peephole. It was Kellin. I opened the door.

"Come on kiddos," Kellin said as I opened the door.

"Coming!" I replied.

     We headed downstairs to the lobby. People have piled around. Kellin and Vic got sucked into the group almost instantly. We watched people around us talk to each other and Kellin and Vic. I was ok with it, I mean there famous and awesome. I looked down at Sara, I don't think she minded much either she looked ok with it all.

"Sara honey are you ok?" I asked her.

"Yea, why wouldn't I be?" She asked, walking over to the other side with me behind her.

"Because of Kellin and Vic getting pulled in by the group of fans," I replied to her question.

"Oh, no, that's fine. Vic and he are famous. I understand it" She said with a smile.

     I looked around the hotel. A big pool lay on the other side of the closed tight doors. It wasn't outside it was in a heated sauna room, or at least that's what the sign said on the side of the doors.

"Hey, Sara. Later, would you like to go to the pool later?" I asked her, giving her a little nudge.

"I don't know how to swim." She replied, laughing lightly.

"Neither do I actually. Maybe Kellin or Vic will teach us" I replied. Still looking around.

"Okay then yes!" She smiled at Kellin who slide out of the crowd and headed over to us.

"Do you girls like it" He asked as he looked around the hotel lobby.

"Yeah, It is really nice!" I replied, Sara, nodded and hugged her him.

"Are you okay Sara?" He asked.

"I'm fine. I just wanted a hug. I'm wearing my birthday shirt tonight!" She said excitedly.

"Kellin. Is it cool if we go up to the room to go to sleep for a while? We are still pretty tired." I asked.

"Yeah. That sounds good. I'll wake you two when we get ready to head out." He replied. We both nodded and started heading up to the room.

     I opened the door and we headed in. I clicked on the stereo and pulled out a copy of The Black Parade from my suitcase. I put it in and started playing lightly. We both laid down. I had gotten the bed closest to the door for safety purposes. Sara got settled and so did I. We were both excited yet equally exhausted.
