(The next day in class, Kirsten sitted in class operating her phone)

Kirsten: (Staring at her phone) Oh my God!.....Why will she be this late for school?.....what the hell she's doing home?.....Oh gosh! I need my assignment, please, Melinda!

(Donald walks to her)

Donald: Morning!....What's wrong?

Kirsten: Oh! (Trying to smile) Am good!....em...Good morning...

Donald: What's the matter this morning?

Kirsten: Am just trying to reach Melinda for my assignment

Donald: How come you left your assignment with her?

Kirsten: No....you won't just understand

Donald: Hmmmm! I know....So what's up, when is she coming to school

Kirsten: Em.....She's stuck up in the traffic by the traffic

Donald: Oh! Means she don't live close to school

Kirsten: Yeah! but I think this morning traffic seems too stuck

Donald: Oh yeah! Our lecturer is not around

Kirsten: Really....(Happy)....Means we're not submitting out assignment today?

Donald: Our captain would do that

Kirsten: (Smiles) Arrrrrgh! Melinda got me on my nerves this morning

Donald: Am eager to see her

Kirsten: Oh! She would be right here now, she texted me

Donald: Alright (Sits)

(Melinda comes)
Melinda: (Worries) Am so sorry Kirsten....I didn't hope to meet this.....I was stuck up in the traffic...is the lecturer around?

Kirsten: (Frowns) Let me have my assignment, please

Melinda: Common! You can't get angry this morning.....it's too early for this, beside I explained to you.....and ought to understand, not by making things hard

Kirsten: Fine! I just explained to Donald too

Melinda: Sorry Donald! Good morning!

Donald: Good morning....where exactly is your hostel?

Melinda: Sorry, right down baker's street

Donald: What if the lecturer had come to class....it would have been a different story

Melinda: I blame traffic and myself for not waking up early.....(Smiles and tries hug Kirsten) Am sorry, baby! You can't ignore me

Kirsten: My assignment matters most to me, I was stuck also in thoughts.....it would make me look foolish before everyone

Melinda: All right, apology accepted?

Donald: You don't have to ask that, she have to forgive you because you are best friend

Kirsten: (Smiles) It's my decision and my world

Donald: Fine, can you please do that?

Kirsten: All right! Apology accepted

Melinda: Thank you darling....(Sits down) I've got gist for you

Kirsten: (Eager to listen) Oh Common!, tell me about it

Melinda: I met a guy this morning in the bus....he asked for my mobile number.....I mean he's so cute, he's.....

Donald: (Cuts in) Hmmm! Can I excuse you for now?

Melinda: Oh, am so sorry

Kirsten: Did you give him?

Melinda: Trust me! I never

Kirsten: Why?

Melinda: Am not so cheap and paying my bus fee doesn't give me the privilege to just go in like that

Kirsten: Well, that's nice

Melinda: I was angry tho......I was in haste to catch up with school

Kirsten: Let me have our assignments so I can submit

Melinda: All right...(Opens her bag and brings out a small paper) Here is it....Have it!

Kirsten: (Collects it) Well, Donald have been waiting for you (Leaves)

Melinda: Oh Donald, am sorry....I need to attend to this silly friend of mine

Donald: I understand

Melinda: Thanks, you said you wanted to see me

Donald: Yeah, it's about my relationship life.....I still need you....tho, I don't care if you've got any boyfriend aside

Melinda: You're referring to me?.....Sorry! I told am not interested in this, beside it's too early for this, please

Donald: I know but you keep turning me down everyday

Melinda: You can't force decision on my.....I know what is right for me, it's my choice.....I don't just want to be harsh or develop any form of hatred

Donald: Hmmmm! I know! Can you just give me a chance?

Melinda: A chance, you say?....Am sorry.....why are you misusing the opportunity of attention am giving to you?

Donald: Melinda, Love is not proud!.....Be calm and humble

Melinda: Donald, making friends with you is the best dream that can ever happen, making you my enemy would be the worst plan

Donald: I know you can't do that, you are kind and soft hearted

Melinda: All right. I don't want to experience any form of frustration, all you need to do it give me more time to think about it

Donald: More time, again?

Melinda: Yes, more time!

Donald: Okay, am hoping for a happy reply

(Kirsten comes)

Kirsten: Are you guys through?

Donald: Kirsten, you can help me talk to your friend too

Kirsten: (Laughs) Melinda can be so stubborn

Donald: She's a good girl, I know

Melinda: You guys are judging me by appearance?.....Don't be funny....Kirsten can't dictate to me

Donald: I know but am not the kind of guy you ever think in your heart while avoiding me like this

Melinda: Honestly, it's not like am avoiding you ....am just trying to create a distance for reasons

Donald: All right. No problem......I get you!

Kirsten: Well, everyone can't be like me.......I guess she's got policy and principles.....so...

Melinda: Yes, you got that point......exactly! (Bursts into laughter)

Kirsten: Naughty!.....All right, Donald.....never mind! you can go now.....I would talk to her

Donald: No problem, thanks.....take care! (Leaves)

Melinda: Donald can be funny! Well, it's going to take me a lot of time to give a response to that

Kirsten: It's your choice, babe! Let's go have some food at the restaurant since the lecturer is not coming

Melinda: All right!
