(Melinda and her sister Melissa discussing in her hostel)

Melissa: I know you wouldn't prove it right by visiting me in my hostel

Melinda: Am so sorry, sister....You should be my bestie and not anyone else

Melissa: I thought I was too old for that

Melinda: No, (Smiles) Definitely not!

Melissa: Where is Kirsten?

Melinda: (Smiles) She....she...yes! she went out

Melissa: (Confuse) Why the pause of words?.....You mean she went out?

Melinda: Yes, I guess it's important

Melissa: Oh! Yeah, nice one....but she ought to be in the hostel reading with you

Melinda: (Laughs) You mean Kirsten?.....If you want to keep secrets and things away from her, just put them down into a book....she will never touch them

Melissa: You can encourage her to do that

Melinda: Countless times!....I just want her to do away with that habit

Melissa: (Sighs) Be careful, and I think she's not influencing you badly

Melinda: Noooo! she's such a nice and caring friend

Melissa: The truth is....she went to visit her boyfriend...Frame that into your brain, and you're just here deceived

Melinda: She didn't tell me about it, so I don't have to judge her

Melissa: You get your brain washed by yourself....I expect more than this...not to the fact that you've been on this campus for more than three years, and you don't know what is happening

Melinda: Well, I don't know about that....(Sighs and coughs) When are you having you going home to mom and dad, they've been disturbing me

Melissa: You know am not a postgraduate candidate anymore but masters ...I think I need more focus

Melinda: Funny! Anyway, am happy to have your company today

Melissa: Melinda, what about your boyfriend I've been asking for so long?

Melinda: Sister! It's nothing to write home about, I don't have!

Melissa: Common, are you kidding me?...And mom, dad, never bother to ask?

Melinda: They keep disturbing me....I can't involve myself in feelings that can later hurt me....You are aware about my previous experiences....It's enough for me to step down

Melissa: It doesn't matter....Won't you settle down one day with your husband?

Melinda: (Frowns) And not now?....Am not interested

Melissa: Do you know women grow old quickly when they don't do the right thing at the right stage?

Melinda: I pray I won't get old till then

Melissa: (Hisses) Pity is all I have for you

Melinda: There is a guy who has always been disturbing in school, he's my course mate....but am afraid to give in for this guy....am afraid about it!

Melissa: Oh! I understand but you can't just bump in into relationships....it's your decision....if you feel the guy is good enough, you can go for him....but remember the things I told you about relationships and my experiences too.....they are enough for you to portray them while taking steps with him. Please

Melinda: Kirsten's opinion sounds somehow (Feels irritated)

Melissa: What's that?

Melinda: She wants me to give in, giving him a chance

Melissa: Let me tell you a truth about ....When you are into it, it's very difficult to reverse.... I mean very!....And it means a lot when you have early disadvantages

Melinda: (Confuse) Early disadvantage?

Melissa: Yes, and don't be deceived by words and promises made by a guy....they can do and pass through a lot just to get exactly what they want

Melinda: But I think lust is all that guys are after instead of love

Melissa: But not all, my dear

Melinda: Fine, what about your boyfriend?

Melissa: He's no longer my boyfriend but my husband to be....He is abroad now and promise to come back next week....(Sighs) I studied him for years too....Knowing the kind of man and creature he is.....But now, I find him to be my companion and my all in all

Melinda: (Smiles almost in tears) How I wish i can get the same.....But it's rare

Melissa: You mean, not staying in this country

Melinda: Yes, it makes someone classic at times....and....ehummm....what is dad and mom approval on that?

Melissa: As soon as he's back, am taking him home for the bride price list

Melinda: (Happy) Amazing!, but... wow!...anyway....(Speechless) nice one......and don't you see it so soon?

Melissa: It can never be late too

Melinda: Just keep praying for me too

Melissa: Wise up, I don't want any mistake from you about relationship. I need your relationship life to be a perfect one....Never pull into the wrong marriage.....Never compare yourself with anyone, okay?

Melinda: So what should I do about the guy, Donald?

Melissa: Uhmmmmm! Take time to make decisions and don't bump in.....Make him your friend and take time to study the kind of person he is.....Wait, does he have any friend?

Melinda: Yesss! That's Nathan

Melissa: Get closer to Nathan and make enquiries about him

Melinda: But I find Nathan not serious in issues like this

Melissa: Are you that close?

Melinda: Uhmm! Well, if am unable to try that, I can always get Kirsten to that.....She's cool with them

Melissa: Exactly! But do you love Donald?

Melinda: Kind of! But I don't......(Smiles) don't really show it, because too much care makes someone act like a stupid person at times

Melissa: (Laughs) Melinda, I trust you....I love you....I depend on you because we have been the only ladies to mom and dad, even if we got our brothers abroad....Don't ever, I repeat, don't ever disappoint me....Let me be proud to have you always and put a smile on my face All the time, please

Melinda: (Smiling as she's staring at her sister) I would make sure I try all my possible best

Melissa: Also, in your studies, okay?

Melinda: Sure!

Melissa: All right, let me take my leave now, would check on you tomorrow (Stands up with her bag)

Melinda: All right, thanks for the company! I would give you a call later in the day

Melissa: Alright, bye!

(Melissa leaves as Melinda picks up her phone, turn up the music with her earpiece into her ears)
