(Melinda reading in her hostel, she's sitted on her bed)

Melinda: (Aside) Linguistics must be another field entirely.....Well, does that mean poetry is a heart poem....(Closes her textbook) Gosh!, I need to get over this....(Touches her forehead) Kirsten!....Kirsten!....Where the hell is she?.....Kirsten!....(Sighs)....You will come for me later.....(Phone rings as she checks)...Oh! Donald....(Smiles and licks her dry lip, then she picks)....Hello! Morning, yeah!.....am cool and you?....no, am not, I just think I need a rest in the hostel today.....of course, no lectures!....(Laughs), that's funny.....how do you expect me in school when there is nothing interesting about that.....Library?, no....I would use my phone for that....Kirsten is good, she's at the backyard....She's doing some laundry....No problem....(Smiles) D-o-n-a-l-d, I've told you countless time I would think over it, don't worry.....Fine, am not in mood to think about that now, I need to finish up my assignment and all of that...You should understand that too....Please, it's not my fault....As you can see examination is fast approaching...I can't help it. I need to do something about it....(Laughs) Honestly, you aren't getting me.....what?....Facial discussion?, Donald, call me back later....Am busy now....Ohhhhh! Seems you are here right with me to know my state, right?.....I know you wouldn't believe me....Love?....(Smiles) It's normal when everybody loves each other and I think it's something natural.....Phobia?, did I ever tell you I've got a phobia?.....No, no, no! Don't quote me wrong. The truth is, I don't want to be involve in a relationship....That's just it, as simply as it can be said....Hmmmmm! You don't need to bother over this too much.....Anyway, give me more time about it.....Case close! (Laughs) What about Nathan?.....My regards to him.....Common! Donald! Call me later! (Hangs up)......Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhh! What's the problem Melinda?.....(Smiles) Well, he sounds so nice and caring......(Confuse) Maybe......I.......should .....give .....him....a.....good......chance!......(Sighs, puts on her slippers and goes to the backyard to meet Kirsten)

(At the backyard)

Melinda: Kirsten, what took you so long in this laundry?

Kirsten: (Panting slowly as she frowns) The cloths fell off the rope so I need to fix another

Melinda: Oh! Sorry, you are through now?

Kirsten: I still need to wash my undies too

Melinda: Thanks for washing my cloths too, you are such a nice roommate (Laughs)

Kirsten: (Smiles) You will do the laundry next weekend, I promise you

Melinda: I will do your assignments

Kirsten: No, I will do them myself

Melinda: Fine, I will do the laundry.....But not too much cloths

Kirsten: Okay, so what's up?.....(Squeezing water away from her cloths)

Melinda: Uhmmm....I got a call from Donald now

Kirsten: So what did he say?

Melinda: I see him to be a disturber about relationship.....Donald loves me.....I don't just know what to do again

Kirsten: (Puts the cloths down) Melinda, I hate you for procrastinating your reply when you mean to give him something good about this.....If truly, you are not interested, go straight to the point....No big deal about that

Melinda: I know!

Kirsten: But this is over two months, seeking for the right person

Melinda: Hmmmm! Put me in your shoes

Kirsten: I know, but this is feelings....If you were a man

Melinda: I know, but I don't want him take me for granted....Remember my previous experience I told you about

Kirsten: (Frowns) Fuck experience!! Fuck your feelings!! Fuck your thoughts and everything....What is wrong with you?...I wonder why Donald have to disturb you over this, if I were him, I won't bother myself anymore....believing you are the best lady here on earth, then I would prove that to you

Melinda: Fine!! I had the aim of giving him a YES answer

Kirsten: Then why the procrastination?

Melinda: I know, but I can't just move in like that into a relationship....It could look cheap

Kirsten: Melinda, I have promise myself over this, that am not ever going to ask and know about your relationship life.....Tell him whatever is in your mind

Melinda: Probably today by text!

Kirsten: Better!

Melinda: Is that why you have to get angry over issues like this?

Kirsten: It's not about that....It just not making sense to me....Beside, it's annoying....and you are my friend!

Melinda: Am sorry, so you mean if I want to tell him NO, I should.....or if it YES, I should also

Kirsten: Exactly!

Melinda: All right, thanks for the concern!.....(Smiles)

Kirsten: You are welcome.....I need to tell you truth when I see them, it's not about keeping things to oneself, it's wrong.....A word is enough for the wise too.....Soon, you are getting a job and marriage follows.....then what's the big deal about relationships you are not having to make the right decision for yourself

Melinda: Once bitten, twice shy!....I don't like scars repeating itself, okay?

Kirsten: Not like being coward like that....Please, try amend that

Melinda: All right, (Sighs) Let me leave you to do the laundry now. When you are in, we would discuss more....Let me go in now

Kirsten: Fine! Keep my food in the flask so it don't get cold

Melinda: Okay (Leaves as Kirsten continues the washing)
