Chapter 9- The Wondering/Part #2

Last Time:

"(Y/N), Kuma, it's time for dinner." You heard from the kitchen. You stopped petting Kuma and got up, much to Kuma's displeasure. You walked towards the kitchen and peeked inside. You saw Matt plating the food onto both of your plates.

This Time:

"You ready (Y/N)?" Matthieu asked. It slightly startled you, but your stomach growled before you could answer his question.

"Uhhh, yeah," You said with a bit of embarrassment in your voice.

"*snicker* I guess your stomach betrays you (Y/N)....come on; sit down. I'll finish plating the food." He said. You nodded and sat down at the table.

*Time Skip to the middle of meal*

"This is good Matt. Where did you learn to cook?" You asked picking up a piece of your food.

"Ehh Francois somewhat taught me but I, if you would call, "mastered" my cooking skill," He said before eating a piece of his tourtiere( basically a Canadian pot pie). You nodded and continued eating your (favourite food).

You wanted to ask him about earlier about the hand touching (and blushing) but decided against it. After a couple of silent minutes eating, Matthieu finished cleaning up his side of the table and said:

"I'm getting ready for bed if you need anything else my room is right next to the washroom. Kuma has free reign around the house so since I'm asleep he's going to be bothering you. The guest room is the last door on the right. Have a good night-eh."

As Matthieu left the kitchen, Kuma nudged your knee and somehow gave you the puppy-dog eye. You awed at it and gave Kuma a bit of what's left of your (favourite food). You watched him eat happily and it made you feel warm and happy inside. You managed to finish eating the rest of your food without Kuma begging for more, and cleaned your dish. Kuma followed you to the guest room and sat right outside the door frame in the hallway. You turned to see Kuma not on your heel but instead in the hallway almost hesitant to come in.

"Come in Kuma, it's okay," you waved your hand towards the inside of the room to show it actually was okay to come through the threshold. Kuma sniffed the doorway and gave a perplexing look towards you but started to slowly shuffle his way to the bed. He slowly but surely jumped onto the bed before sighing.

"I get it, buddy, I'm tired too," You pet his fur before grabbing the spare clothes that Matt put onto the mattress. "I'm going to the bathroom, you can stay on the bed, okay?" You asked. He just moved his head in a nod type of way. You then started your journey to the bathroom to change.

You finished doing your business in the bathroom and just stared into the mirror, at your reflection (who is that girl I see~). You just stood there as the memories from the past few days rushed through your head really fast. It became so fast that you had to clutch your head in pain. You stumbled a bit but maintained your balance. You grabbed onto the counter for support, you stared into the mirror for just a second and rushed out of the bathroom straight back to the bedroom.

Hey guys, how are you all? Of how long I was on a break, it's unacceptable of me to not say anything. So I finished Chapter 9 and I am currently trying to make a list of how the future chapters will be layed out. If you guys want I could include a Q and A (if you guys ask questions) since we did hit 1K reads.
