It's Monday, we have a volleyball game tonight after school against Johnson. Man, I'm really excited for this game, but also SUPER nervous. This is the first game of the season, I would really like us to win this game! I'm sure that the others want to win too. A great way to start off the season with a win, maybe?
Oh, sorry, I was lost in my thoughts. It's rude of me not to introduce myself, my name is Carly Niemoth. I am the middle blocker and hitter for the South Central volleyball team. (I also play club ball too, but we're not gonna get into that right now.)
Johnson is our -you would sorta say- school rival. We've never been able to beat them, some of the players before us have, but not these players. Except, not yet. I have a pretty good feeling that we're gonna do awesome this year, I can just feel it. I couldn't even focus in school today, but unfortuantely, I have A LOT of homework. And I'll have to stay up very late tonight. But if we win today, I don't think I'll even be able to go to sleep, I'll be so excited. I walked into the locker room skipping to my bag and gave out a couple high fives, Isahanna smiled at me and chuckled. "I'm really excited, okay?" I said smiling. "Same!" We laughed, jumped and gave each other a lot of high fives. And then we started to get ready, jerseys and all. Eva played some music from her speaker and we all sang to it, looking at each other, not caring that we knew we all sucked at singing. We went out onto the court, some of us forgot water bottles, so they were running up to their parents asking them to buy them a watter bottle. Then they all came down and we huddled around our coach. "Alright, I want you all to take a big breath and just leat it out." We did, quietly and evenly. "This is a big day for some of us, but I just want you guys to calm down, concentrate on the ball and have fun. Even though we're not having fun if we're losing. But I'm sure you guys will have fun! Play ball girls! Play for the One on 3!" "1, 2, 3, Play for the One!" We yelled as loud as we could, just to let them know we were coming. And so the match begins. Watch out, 'cause we're coming, right between the eyes! Thanks for reading! Please, PLEASE vote! Hope you're having a great day! BYYYYYYYYEEEEE!
