I've been growing up in a bubble of comfort most of my life only due to the rules. I've grown up with seven rules. They keep me alive
1. DONT leave the house without Will
2. Search for all exits when in a new area
3. Never speak (even though I don't)
4. Always cover your arms and neck
5. Never leave lights off
6. Always leave the Chara ring on
7. Never go out during the nightMy father hasn't ever told me why we have rules but I respect them. Only because father says they will keep me safe. As for the chara ring, lets just say... it's beautiful and anyone who had a right mind would keep it on. It's simply just gorgeous. Father says it holds the blood of the 'boss'. I'm assuming he means his boss, though I've always thought he's the boss. This topic always gives me a headache.
I go by Calla, I'm seventeen and about to be a senior in high school though I am home schooled. I'm mute, I can speak but I haven't spoken in 6 years. I usually sign and have someone interpret what I'm saying. Father never tells people why I have selective mutism.
My father is, well my father he's frightening to people who don't know him, otherwise he's a big teddy bear. I don't have many friends but the ones I do have are great and I've known them since early childhood.I'm currently sitting in the house library with father, he's teaching a sign language class to the new guards, cooks and maids so they know what I'm saying and how to speak to me.
I walk over to my father, my long ebony hair grazing the lowest part of my back, Tugging on his sleeve I earn his attention.
"Father may I leave, the guests are staring, its making me feel unsettled." I sign
"you may leave, and I promise I will warn them about the staring" He signed back. I smiled and sashaying out of the library. I really didn't want to leave the library since it was my favorite room in the house, but their staring was giving me anxiety it feels like warm heavy liquid filling my chest and my head starts feeling light, my hands start feeling cold,I don't realize I'm at the stairs until Will grabs my hand to keep me from falling. Will is my personal bodyguard and the only person in the house that.
