"......."
I felt like I was underwater. my entire body felt heavyIt was almost completely silent. I didn't move, I couldn't think..
Somewhere distant I could hear some sort of slashing sound,
like something was cutting through the air. I wouldn't mind if it stayed like that to be honest.I got a pretty rude awakening when a bird flew into the side of my face...
I needed a second to realize what just happened, but the feather stuck to my cheek made it pretty clear.
Flashes of pain were going through my whole body.
We were still flying, but the landscape was looking different from earlier.
We were flying over a field,
I could see many flowers but I didn't see any animals yet.I could see a tall building in the distance.
It was in noticeably good shape compared to the ruins I had seen."where is she taking me?"
"where am I" I thought to myself.
But more important than anything:"Why did she save me"
I wasn't afraid to speak but I felt like it wouldn't resolve anything.
I decided to wait and see what would happen. We began to descend as we approached the building. the gate was trailed with roses and there were many flowers on the field.
She carefully put me down on my two feet before she came down herself.
I turned back to face her,We exchanged looks for a second.
"Umm... are you okay" she asked me as she looked at the blood dripping down the side of my face.
"... somehow"
I responded. My head was still bleeding from when I hit the building.I looked around.
For some reason it looked familiar to me.
I had a weird sense of deja vu, but I just couldn't place it.
I then turned to face her again. She was looking at the ground, completely ignoring my existence.then she crouched down and placed her hand right above the grass. When I looked closer I saw she was gently touching a small purple flower.
I heard her wisper something but it wasn't loud enough for me to process. After a moment I decided to speak.
"I'm sorry but what...
where are we?"
I asked,
not sure how to describe all of the events that had taken place until this point. She looked at me and then stood up.
"Take a good look"
She said as she slowly turned around with her arms spread,
highlighting our surroundings."You've noticed right?"
She asked dropping her arms as she faced me again."You're not on earth anymore."
"The tunnel we just went through was a gateway to this place"
"..."
a silence followed.Considering all the events that had taken place this was probably the truth.
But I still couldn't make too much of it."So why did you jump?"
she asked breaking through my thought pattern."Why did I jump" I had no answer.
"What do you mean, why did YOU jump" I foolishly asked her.
"I guess that's pretty self explanatory isn't it?"
"I had to travel through midheaven"
"The portal?" I responded.
"Portal? Well if that's what you want to call it"
I felt like she was mocking me. Why was she making light of this?.
"Well you dont have to tell me you if you don't want to." She started again.
"I'll just fill in the blanks and say you wanted to kill yourself"
she said as she put her arms behind her neck and stretched her body. That one really pushed my buttons.
"I was trying to help you" I snapped at her."By jumping off a building"
she asked with a frown on her face."...."
"I panicked"
Her face went soft again, she lowered her arms and started laughing at me.
This wasn't funny to me, At all.
I felt like an idiot. She made me feel that way.
I was starting to get irritated."You panicked..."
"You're kind of funny aren-""why did you save me, to mock me?" I abruptly asked her.
She sighed.
"Why do you think."
"You would have died if I didn't act."
"I'm not a bad person. I don't want to have an innocent person's blood on my hands"
"Sure, i bet you were just goofing around" "I'm not something for you to laugh at"
I exlaimed."What are you even going at."
she snapped."I went out of my way and nearly smashed myself into the ground just TO SAVE YOU."
"And now you're mad at me."
"This is all because you jumped so you can blame yourself"I was surprised, she didn't look like the type to get mad. Even if she didn't raise her voice. But she was right.
I sighed.
"Is this the gratefulness I deserve? I should've just let you-"
"Please, I'm not talking about the fact you saved me" I interrupted her.
"Thank you for saving me.
I'm sorry,
I'm just a bit taken back by everything that happened.
We just met but I do believe you're a good person."she looked at me visibly less upset than before.
"Thank you"
"So where do we go from here? is this where you live?" I continued.
"No."
"But the person who can send you back home does"
"Is he a friend of you? What's he like?"
"Friend?..."
"I suppose so"
"his name is Tobias,
He's blonde and he has a umm... thing for classical music""He's the one that opened the portal earlier, I'm sure he's aware you're here."
"How do portals work?" I asked.
"You should ask him, he definitely wouldn't mind explaining."
He likes visitors and he's reasonable,
as long as you don't say anything about the... umm.. music.""Why do you keep saying that?"
"What"
"About his "ummmmm music"?"
"You'll see..."
"... okay"
*sigh*
"Please god, no more suprises" I thought to myself."Oh"
"I forgot to ask but my name is Dynasty ."
I said as I reached out my hand."What's yours?"
