ELSA
I slowly walk around my ice castle. I can't believe I made this. All of this. I glance around. I don't see Hiccup anywhere. I wonder where he is? "... Hiccup?" I call out. No answer. "Hiccup!" I yell again but louder. I step outside through the front doors. "Hiccup!"
"Yeah?" I heard him. I look down the stairs to the slow to see him on his knees next to his dragon adjusting something. I slowly walk down the stairs.
"What are you doing?"
"Fixing Toothless' tail!"
"You named it Toothless?" I ask and he nods. "Why?" Toothless crawled a little bit away from Hiccup looking at me with wide eyes. I just smile a little. He opens his mouth slowly. I cringe thinking I'm his next meal. But nothing happened. I slowly open my eyes to see Toothless's mouth open. All I see are his gums. "Oh... He's literally Toothless. That makes more sense," I say to Hiccup.
Hiccup smiled then stood up slowly. He dusted the snow off of him then looked at me. "Wanna go for a ride?" He asked.
"On the dragon?"
"Yeah. What else would we take?" he asked. I gulp. "It's okay! He's harmless." He says cheerily. "... Sometimes..." He added under his breath.
I sigh facing it. "Okay fine I'll go!" I say to him going to Toothless.
Toothless snorted then backed up.
"Hey! Toothless relax!" Hiccup whispers going to the dragon. He puts his hand to the dragon's muzzle calming him. He then backs up to me with Toothless following him calmed by Hiccup's held out a hand. He slows to a stop in front of me, with the Toothless inches from his hand.
He reaches over and grabs my trembling hand. "Wait! What are you..." I ask. Toothless snorted again. Hiccup calmed him then calmed me.
"Relax. It's okay... it's okay." He whispers. Hiccup gently replaces his hand with mine. Toothless snorts, but remains calm. I smile at him.
"That's amazing!" I whisper to Hiccup.
Hiccup started by my side with a small smile. "Isn't it?"
Toothless purred at me then lowered to the ground. Hiccup opens his tail with some lever then climbs on. He helps me on behind him.
"Okay," Hiccup sighed. "Hold on tight and enjoy the ride!"
"Hold on tight?" I ask. "Why?" Toothless suddenly shot up into the air quickly. I scream and hug Hiccup for dear life, squeezing the breath out of him. Toothless flies faster up into the air then suddenly relents. We level off and head up into the clouds. I open my eyes.
I look out and looked out over a world I'd never dreamed of. It's beautiful. We pass gold and silvers clouds. They're right about our heads. I reach out and touch clouds, piercing columns ablaze in golden hues. We float over a vast, alien skyscape. My fear is replaced by wonder and I grin, despite myself.
Toothless rises above the blanket of golden clouds and levels off under a starry sky.
We peacefully fly under the dancing Northern Lights, shimmering in ribbons across the vast sky.
"Look!" I hear Hiccup say to me softly.
I look down to see Arendelle. My old kingdom. It looks different. The castle lights flicker in the inky darkness. The new perspective of my land is breathtaking. I've never seen anything like this.
"Isn't it beautiful!" I ask him. I tuck my arms into Hiccup's side, burying my chin into his shoulder.
I see Hiccup smile nervously. "Yeah..." Toothless climbs past Arendelle's castle and headed out over open water, leaving the castle lights behind us.
"This is pretty cool. It's... amazing." I say slowly. Hiccup sighs then fixed his position. After realizing I had my legs around his waist, I allow him to move his leg as I bring my leg down. He looked uncomfortable for a moment. His expression changed as Toothless continued to fly through the star-lit sky. "He's amazing." I say carefully reaching down to gently pat Toothless' side.
"He is," Hiccup said calmly. "Toothless has been in my life for a long time. We've been so much. I wouldn't know what to do without him." Hiccup adds.
I smile putting my chin back in his shoulder. "I wouldn't know what to do without Anna," I tell him.
"But you left her in Arendelle." he pointed out.
"Yes, I know. I did 'cause I didn't want to hurt her. I don't want to hurt anybody." I tell him.
"So, you shut her out all that time? You lived you're whole life without her?"
"I know, and I wish I didn't shut myself away..." I say. "If I stayed in my room before the coronation I wouldn't have..." I start but then trailed off.
"What?"
"I would've never met you," He smiled faintly then focused on flying.
"I'm glad I met you." Hiccup started straight. "I didn't know who I was before, I didn't know what I was meant to do... But now I do..."
"What's that?" I ask.
"Keep you safe!" he says. Keep me safe. He's dedicated his life to keep me safe?
"But what if something happens to you?" I ask.
"I would rather die tomorrow, then live a million years without you!" he says.
"I don't understand..." I tell him.
"I would die, trying to keep you safe!" He tells me "You're now my everything, Elsa. My Sun, My Moon. The light I see when there's only dark. And I will do whatever it takes to keep you safe from all harm, I will give my last breath to keep you safe!" I smile faintly hugging the back of him.
"Thank you.." He takes a deep breath then steered Toothless towards more clouds. This flight with Hiccup is amazing. I never knew a dragon could be this fascinating.
