Bang!

"Ah..." Grace mumbles as she tiredly pops her ruffled hair out the blankets. After a few moments of wearily looking around Grace lets out a huge yawn and plops her head back onto the pillow.

Bang!

Bang!

"What?"

Grace throws the cover off her body, grabs her H&M baby pink gown and drags her feet out of her bedroom towards the mysterious sound.

As Grace nears the front door the sounds get louder and the brown wooden door shakes as a violent hand outside beats against it.

"Who the flip is this?" Tightening her gown around her shivering body, Grace makes her way towards the door and positions her head against the door, listening.

"Grace, I know you're in there." A ruff voice calls from the other side of the door. "Open the door."

The man bangs against the door harder causing Grace to jump back, her hand against her heart.

"Grace!" The muffled voice calls again. "Open the fucking door!"

"Who could it be?" Mumbles Grace to herself as she quickly checks that the door is bolted shut.

Rushing back to her room, Grace grabs her phone and wearily stalks back towards the front door, where the hard banging threatens to break it.

"Grace!" The voice calls, a familiar ring to it. "If you don't open this fucking door, I swear I'll fucking..."

The voice is drowned out by the violent recurring knocks on the door.

Grace, her heart pounding fiercely and her face heavily damp from the sweat, quickly opens up the message app ready to text Vic when she stops dead in her tracks.

"Gracie, please." The voice begs, the violent banging ceasing.

Raymond.

At the sound of his voice, Grace's phone slips out of her frozen fingers and her breath stops before coming back in violent and short huffs.

No! Anybody but him.

"Grace please." The voice calls out, much softer than before. "Let me talk to you please babe, please."

Grace stumbles back at the endearment used as if being hit by a wave of cold water. Catching herself on her sofa, a few steps away, Grace slumps against the side of it, defeated.

"Grace!" Raymond calls. "You fucking open this door!"

Raymond's screams, a vast change from his former soft and manipulative voice, is drowned out as the memories of a couple of days ago resurfaces.

"Yes babe." A familiar voice heavily mutters on the other side of the door.

"What?"Grace mumbles as she approaches Cheryl, her boss's door.

After winding past a frightened Lisa only a couple of moments ago and speed-walking towards her bosses door. Grace stands against the frosted glass door her ear pressed heavily against it.

"Babe, I love you so fucking much." A gruff voice calls as heavier panting penetrates past the door right into Grace's frightened ears.

After a few moments of shuffling and heavy, deep sounds going from behind the door. A tear slips Grace's eyes as her thoughts are confirmed.

"Raymond." A familiar voice moans. Cherly.

No!

Stepping back from the door, as if stung by it, a series of full sobs rack Grace's body as she drops her laptop bag onto the floor.

"No, no. Please no." She cries listening as the sounds become heavier, louder.

Grace whips her head back, as she spots Lisa behind her with her hands placed firmly together, body slouched and eyes drawn down to the floor in shame.

Lisa knew! She knew!

Staring at the 5 carat diamond ring Raymond had given her only 5 months ago, Grace glares at the door, where the love of her life, her soulmate, her best friend sits and embarrasses, betrays and hurts her.

With a broken heart and eyes full of rage Grace stumbles over to the door grabbing onto the handle and throwing it open.

The last thing she hears are the screams of Lisa as Grace slams the door shut heatedly glaring at a shirtless Cheryl and disheveled Raymond.
