As Elliot and Tala leave the building, they run through the city, apparently forgetting about Tala's car. A very dangerous time, for two fae to be out this late, fae were murdered a lot.

Elliot followed Tala through an alley way, climbing up onto fire escapes and up onto a roof. "Tala, where are we going?!" Elliot calls, breathing heavily.

Tala is sitting on the ledge of a building, her feet dangling off the edge, as the other joins. Tala shivers, from the cold.

"Do you want my jacket?" Elliot asked, fiddling with the ring on her middle finger.

Tala smiles. "I'm okay. You need it."

"No, not really. If you don't remember, I'm a mutt." Elliot said, taking off the jacket. It was black, with skulls on the sleeves and back, wings on the front right. "I don't get cold fast. Take it, please."

Tala takes it. It's huge on her, she's short, Elliot's tall, it drowns her. Once it's off, more marks on their arms make themselves known, and scars around their wrists. "My sister gave it to me. She mailed it from Scotland for me." Elliot states.

"Your family is from Scotland?" Tala asks, huddling up in the jacket to get warm.

"Yeah. Ma was from France. Da was from Scotland. Ma learned English to talk to Da, and when they split, Ma came to America, and then I came out as gay to her, and got kicked out. I was neglected by my step-douche, who refused to look at me when I was near, Ma just, didn't see it. Sorry, I shouldn't, just spill my life story on you."

"No, it's okay. My family, I grew up without a father. I was half-fae, I didn't know what to do, because I wasn't like the others. I might have had marks and stuff, but I didn't have anything else. I didn't have the magic that others did, I looked fae, but I wasn't. Ma died two years ago, and it's just me and my brother now. I work and take care of him, he works and takes care of me when I need it."

Tala covers the jacket more over her chest, shivering still. "Cold still, Tee?"

Elliot moves closer, "Here, come here." They open their arms and Tala comes into them. "It's getting dark, I sit here and watch the sun set." Tala said, shivering in Elliot's arms.

Elliot smiles, rubbing Tala's back as the sun sets in front of them. Her heart begins pounding when she feels Tala rest her head on their shoulder as best she can. The elf purrs, like elves do, a low rumbly noise in their chest.

"Are you, purring?"

Elliot blushes, hiding their face in their hands. "Yes."

Elliot looks up to the sun set, it beautiful as it falls behind the building, just as something grabs her arm.

They get pushed off the ledge, followed by whatever did that, catching them. From Tala's view, she can't see much. Just the fact that now, Elliot is missing an arm. Somewhat. It's ground beef. It looks terrible. Tala digs around in Elliot jacket pockets for their phone.

She hurries down from the roof all while dialing Aidan. Aidan picks up, and Tala can hear the panic in Aidan's voice as she asks what's wrong.

"Elliot was just thrown off a roof. Their arm is missing. Can you track us?" Tala asks. "You need to get here quick. They'll die."

Aidan breathes heavily for a second, before saying she'll track them, and hangs up. Tala reaches the elf, holding them close to herself. "Hey, hey, it'll be okay."

Elliot's eyes are closed, their breathing ragged, as Tala holds onto them. She tries to put pressure on Elliot's ground beef arm, but has no affect, they're dying. And they will die, if Aidan doesn't get here soon.
