These are all from 2017. These are part of an on-going, self imposed challenge I set myself to turn all 50 gemstones in the pack (above) into SU characters. I actually didn't include all of them due to them only being in the rough sketch stage and being too unruly to have in the selection. The ones that ARE here are either polished sketches or inked designs- some may still be first drafts.

Page 1: Onyx- my original gemsona and the only one here in colour. Their weapon is a hook-blade and their gem is their right eye- they're meant to be androgynous and can flit between both pronouns. They are quite passive but love a challenge. They are a "rebel" (though they are not part of the main story- I have no real story for them). Sunstone- a less prominent character, a mace as her weapon, she's confident and a scary warrior under Yellow Diamond. Her gem is on her right shoulder.

Of course i have my very own power couple. This Ruby is very rebellious- so much so that she changed her standard hair to a Mohawk. A bit of a tsundere, they begrudgingly adore Purple (i changed it as pink is part of the reddish part of corundums spectrum and would make her a ruby too. Feel free to enquire on gem facts :) ) Sapphire, who is elegant and compassionate, together, they form Rose Garnet (may be subject to change), who is sassy, tough on the edges, but genuine and caring besides that.

Onyx and Red Rhodochrosite form Rhodonite. Rhodochrosite is flirtatious and is always happy to fuse. Onyx is charmed by her advances, so the undeniable tank that is Rhodonite is a common weapon in the arsenal. Their personalities mesh well and thus form a cohesive, flamboyant and powerful fusion.
