The Elemental War

Chapter 2

Lotus landed and bowed his head respectfully. "Come on in young one." said the king. Strike walked into his large den as Lotus followed. Strike sat down on his throne as his son Princess Flash sat in her throne next to her father. Lotus glanced at the princess as he followed the king and stopped in front of the king and sat down. "Lotus, there is something you must know. You are old enough to know now." he said. "What is it?" asked Lotus. "You are the Elemental dragon." said the king. "I'm the what?" asked Lotus. 

"The elemental dragon." said the princess. Lotus looked at her respectfully "You are the chosen one to save us all from this war and stop it and restore the balance between all of the Clans in the world." she said. Lotus was taken back by this and shook his head. I don't believe this. I don't believe you." he said. "Believe it Lotus, you are the chosen one to save us all." said the king. "What do I do?" asked Lotus. 

"When you are 10 years of age you will go and live on your own, and find a way to end this ternary of the Fire Clan's king. And restore peace to the world." said Strike. Lotus sighed as he took in this new information. He was unable to believe this. Soon Lotus was dismissed from the cave as he flew to his own to process this in his mind. 

That night he never left his cave as he slept he had a dream of his mother, seeing her faintly when he was born and before she left him. He tried to listen to what she said but he could not remember what was said. As he awoke the next morning he looked around. As he went to play with the other dragons his age. 

Months passed again in which turned to years as Lotus grew he learned more of his abilities and forgot about what King Strike had told him years ago. He had gone to the surrounding forest in the territory and practiced his newly found abilities. He was able to wield fire, breathe ice, conduct electricity through his body, cause storms of powerful winds, move the earth, bend the water, control light, and most mysterious of all, he could blend with the shadows and cause complete darkness as well as make all of these abilities darker than the night itself. 

"Why can I do this?" he asked himself. "I don't get it. I'm not like the other dragon species of this world. I wield all of the clan's elements including two of my own." he said. Lotus sighed and went for a walk in the forest. As he walked the trail he heard talking. Heading to the voices he saw four dragons. each had what seemed to be magma stone armor on. They were discussing some kind of plan. "Commander Blaze says that there have been rumors of The Elemental in the Electricity Clan." said a female. She had bright red colors to her as well as small orange and yellow markings to her. 

"Calm down Ash, we are still waiting for orders from the commander." said a male. "Don't you think I know this? Damn such a pain you are Inferno." said the one named Ash. "Watch it kid." snapped Inferno. Ash scoffed and looked at Inferno. "I'm sorry are you the second in commander of this army?" she asked. Inferno rolled his eyes "Shut it." he said. 

"Enough the both of you." said another male "Heat is right." said a female. "Thank you Fire." said Heat. The female nodded as Asha and Inferno stopped arguing as their commander walked up. Each went silent as the dragon approached. "Sir!" said Ash. "Good work keeping them in line Ash." he said. Ash nodded as each soldier went silent and looked at their commander. "Now. As each of my squad leaders know, The Elemental has been born and is currently almost ten years old. The question is, where is he hiding and who is hiding him from the Fire Clan." he said. 

"Rumor has it he is hidden in the Electricity Clan, sir." said Heat. "I see. Well in that case get to work and hunt him down, but he needs to remain alive as ordered by King Sorin." said the commander. "Yes sir! Commander Blaze!" each said as they stood straight and split up. 

Lotus was shocked, he soon began to run and run back to the clan as he got there the king had met him. "Lotus it is time you leave the clan." said King Strike. "There are Fire Clan soldiers in the territory." said Lotus. "All the more reason you need to leave." replied Strike. "Ok. I'll leave. Thank you for taking care of me and watching over me." said Lotus. Strike nodded. "Farewell Lotus." said Strike. 

Lotus bowed and spread his wings as he took off to the sky and flew away as he looked back at his hatchling hood friends. Strike looked up and watched The Elemental fly away. "Save us all Lotus. You are The Elemental." he said.
