"Rylin when did you get your nails done?" Morgan asks the next day at school. "They actually look good for once."

"Thanks," I try to laugh, closing my locker door. "I got them done yesterday."

"Ugh only one more month till summer vacation, I like totally can't wait!" Morgan says.

"I know same! I can't wait till I can practice dance everyday!"

"Cool." Morgan yawns, uninterested. "So I was texting those guys we met the other day, guess what Cameron said!" Morgan says.

"What?" I ask excitedly, Morgan is the closest thing I have to a best friend, one of the only friends I have at school. Last week, at a party, we met three extremely attractive guys, Cameron, Isaac and Seth. Morgan had a lot to drink and was acting like a bit of an ass. I had a really cool conversation with Cameron. He was a really amazing guy, and I really wanted him to kiss me.

"I was texting him and Cameron said that I was really beautiful and that he wants to take me out sometime." Morgan laughed. My heart immediately sank but I put on a smile for Morgan.

"That's awesome Morgan he's a really sweet guy." I say. Morgan pulls out her phone.

"Look at what he said, he's so fricken cute!" Morgan says showing me the conversation..

Cameron: I had an amazing time talking to you the other night, you're so beautiful, we should go out sometime, I hardly noticed your friend lol

Morgan: haha thanks bb <3 sounds good ;);) and yeah Ikr, Rylin's a little ratchet, Idek y I put up with her. The chick's parents didn't even want her haha at least she's smart lol

Cameron: LMAOO so funny

My heart sank, how did he hardly notice me? We were talking the entire time! He didn't even talk to Morgan! After all the times I've stuck up for Morgan, she goes and talks shit about me behind my back, and she told Cameron my parents didn't want me!

"That's awesome Morgan, I think you guys will be cute together." I say looking down at my scuffed, dirty, knock off converse shoes. Morgan laughs, but it's not a nice laugh, something tells me she just showed me the conversation to make me feel bad.

"Yeah but I'm probs gonna dump him next week anyways." Morgan laughs. "Anyways see ya later best friend!" Morgan says kissing me on the cheek and struts down the hallway to a group of football players.

"See ya." I mumble, grabbing my bag and slamming my locker shut. I walk towards the the school door, I have to go to work.

Gaga insisted yesterday on sending me a cab that would take me from school to the grocery store, so I wouldn't have to walk. I walk outside and into the big, black car that is waiting outside. The driver turns around and gives me a fancy piece of paper. I read it, it's from Gaga.

Dear Rylin,

I hope you had a good day at school and I'm sorry you have to work today. Come over today after you have finished working, a cab will pick you up when your shift is over, it will take you to my apartment, if you want. I'll make dinner for you!

Love, G

I sigh, why is she being so nice to me?

After work, it's seven o'clock when a car drives me to a tall building. I can't help but be excited, I've never been to Gaga's apartment before. A cluster of people are outside the apartment doors, I'm pretty sure they are Little Monsters camping outside Gaga's apartment! That's a little bit excessive, she needs to have some privacy. The driver opens the door for me and a Little Monster shouts.

"Hey! That's the girl in the picture that Gaga posted yesterday!"

"Who are you?" One shouts.

"How do you know Gaga?" Another yells.

"Are you going to see her?" A woman yells.

"Take us with you! We wanna meet Gaga!" A man shouts.

"Just ignore them." The driver whispers in my ear, obviously seeing the look of terror on my face. Almost all of the Little Monsters have their phones out, taking my picture! The bellhop opens the door and I practically run inside.

An elevator ride later, I'm standing in front of a door labeled 'Penthouse' there are twenty floors in this building and Gaga lives at the very top. I take a deep breath, comb my fingers through my hair and knock on the door. I hear a dog barking, it must be Gaga's dog Asia. Gaga opens the door, holding Asia. Gaga's wearing an oversized Pink Floyd shirt and plain black jean shorts, she's not wearing a wig, her short, blonde hair is in curls and falls to her shoulders.

"Hi Rylin!" Gaga exclaims as I step in and she shuts the door behind me. "It's just you and I today, it's my day off." Gaga laughs. "Let me give you a tour!"

After the tour, Gaga and I sit out on her deck.

"Wow," I breathe. "The view is absolutely stunning."

"Thanks, this is one of my favourite places to write music." Gaga sighs looking out on to the city.

"You can see the whole city from here, it's amazing." I say.

"Rylin?" Gaga asks me in a quiet voice after a few minutes of silence pass.

"Yes?" I say looking at her.

"I have to tell you something." Gaga says quietly. "You can't tell anyone."

"I promise."

"When I was nineteen," Gaga says slowly. "My career was just starting to take off, I had just been signed to a record label. I started cutting everyone out of my life, my friends, my parents, my sister, I even broke up with my boyfriend."

"Why?" I ask quietly.

"Because I was so focused on my career, I didn't stop for anything or anyone. I hardly left my apartment." Gaga sighs. "Looking back, I see how selfish that was, everyone who loved me knew that I was isolating myself. But that's not the worst thing I did, you see, about two months after I had broken up with my boyfriend..." Gaga takes another deep breath. "I-I found out I was pregnant. I was so scared and I... I ended up getting an abortion." Gaga sobs, throwing her head into her hands. I pull my arms around her as she cries. "I think about it everyday." My eyes fill with tears.

"Gaga, I'm so sorry." I cry. I don't even know what to say. We sit for a couple minutes until Gaga calms down. "Gaga, why did you choose to tell me this today?" I can't help but wonder, we've only known each other for less than four days.

"Well," Gaga says sniffling. "You were so open when you told me about your parent situation and I really feel like I can trust you."

"Gaga, you have no idea what that means to me, and I feel like I can trust you too." After a while, I tell her about what Morgan did today, she tells me that Morgan is bad news and that she sounds like a bitch, that makes me laugh a little. For the next few minutes, we lookout on to the city, Gaga hums a song I recognize from her past called 'Captivated' while we sit, enjoying each other's company, our tears drying.
