    GMO (genetically modified organism) is an organism which has undergone modifications are genetic. With the help of the progress of biotechnology in order to get a better product. Like tomatoes, corn, eggplant, papaya, and much more. GMO makes plants grow bigger, plants become tolerant of the herbicide, immune to pests, tolerant of cold and hot conditions and can increase the levels of protein and nutritional content such as vitamins C, E and β-carotene in plants become higher. The presence of the genetically modified crops have a key role in meeting the needs of the food.  genetic engineering is done to meet the food needs of the world population.

Since the introduction of GMO in 1996, health problems, digestive problems, genetic disorders, antibiotic resistance and increased cancer risk. In addition GMO has a negative impact on the ecosystem. Biodiversity loss which occurs through gene pollution GMO crops. threatening the growth of native varieties, through an exchange of pollen that can make all the genetically modified crops. The development of GMO crops that have pesticide-resistant genes such as Bt maize with effect from pesticides can cause death of Danaus Plexippus species larvae. The death of the organisms that are not targeted could disrupt ecosystems because of the alignments of the destruction of biodiversity.

In conclusion, the GMO is not the only solution to prevent a food crisis in the coming year. The presence of GMO so as to lower the quality and health. GMO can kill living beings as a result, the balance of the ecosystem is disrupted and damaged the environment. GMO are not the solution but the but the pollution.
