The crowd has begun to disperse as Laf, Laurens, and Hercules are just about ready to rant until their tongues are dead.
"Alexandre, that was beyond stupéfiant (amazing)!"
"You placed that damn Loyalist to his place! If only you saw how he reacted to you going up the stage and interrupting his stupid 'speech'!"
"A lot of people were inspired by your words! The way their eyes lit up and nodded and agreed to everything you said. It was just-"
All of them end up making incoherent noises and you, Alex, and Burr couldn't contain yourselves from laughing.
"But, really Alex, that was great. If we keep this up, more people will want to join and help us win." You admit, still grinning from ear-to-ear. All you get as a response from the short male is an enthusiastic nod and eyes that were practically lit up with happiness and pride.
"It is quite impressive how you managed to stand up to him but you need to be careful. The redcoats could do anything and you may not be lucky next time." Burr says as he crosses his arms, causing a chorus of 'boo's and 'killjoy'.
'Will they ever agree on something.?'
"I mean, Burr is right. Alexander, there was a chance that you could have gotten seriously hurt by resisting and arguing with that Seabury guy. It's great to take risks but you also need to know when to..." You say before trailing off, trying to stop to already forming a smile.
"-wait for it."
The revolutionary boys (Alex included) mumbles in agreement, which stuns you instantly, not being used to them not being impulsive and brash and 110% ready to argue with you. What's even more unexpected, however, is that Burr has a smile that reaches his eyes. Aaron Burr. Smiling. It was the first genuine smile he made since you all met.
"I don't know about all of you but I'm starving," Alex announces, slightly clutching his stomach as others agree as well. Soon, they all begin talking about places where they could possibly eat. "I mean... nothing beats the local bakery so I say we go there and get some lun- wait." John begins before immediately cutting himself off, which caused everyone to look at him.
"Did we even have breakfast?"
When no one responds to the question, John sighs, mumbling something along the lines of "we're hopeless." under his breath. You chuckle, completely agreeing to that as well.

As you all stuffed yourselves with various baked goods (excluding Burr who was content with his biscuit), everyone catches each other up on what the other might have missed, until it finally went to the topic of-.
"YOU GOT TO MEET AND BECOME ACQUAINTANCES WITH THE SCHUYLER SISTERS?!" John shouts, standing up and slamming his hands onto the table in utter disbelief. Alex stares at you as if you've grown three heads as Hercules helps Lafayette who was choking on a croissant. Burr just sits there, chewing his biscuit in silence.
John gets shushed by other customers but it doesn't look like he cares, still waiting for your answer.
"Uhh, no? Yes? Possibly? Burr, c'mon say something. You were with me almost the whole time." You say as you look to the ravenette for help, feeling incredibly embarrassed even mentioning that entire interaction.
