Prologue

My hips move in sync with my assigned target. My hands tangle themselves in his dark hair. His hands explore my body; moving from my waist to where the tight short dress ends. While his lips leave trails of wet kisses from the base of my neck to my ears.

I distract him by grinding my lower half into him while my arms make their way down into his back pant pocket where I grab the small chip and his car keys.

"Let's take this somewhere else? Eh?" I can hardly hear him over the loud club music.

I nod. Whilst his back turned to me when we head towards the exit, I tuck the small chip in my bra. Giving a distinct thumbs up where the camera is located.

I breathe in the fresh air once outside. My target going to retrieve his car. A red Audi RS 5 coupé appears right in front of me.

I quickly hop in the car before my father speeds off.

"Have fun, sweetie?"

"Always. Though, it could've been more fun." I turn my head towards him, an eyebrow raised.

My father sighs, "I'm sure you could've found somebody else to help you out. And you know he's dangerous." His chocolate eyes shifting its gaze to me while the traffic light is red.

I roll my own eyes, "You know I live for danger."

"You can always come back tomorrow, did you drink?"

"Hell yeah! It's a club and it would be obvious if I didn't have fun. Plus I needed him to approach me otherwise it was obvious." I grin at my father.

The latter shakes his head, hiding a smile from me.

My father and I had always gotten along; couldn't say the same for my mother and younger sister. My older brother left as soon he turned eighteen, but of course, he has always been the CEO for my father's company.

I guess my sister, mother and I never got along because our personalities are complete opposites and so are our appearances. Both of them had the usual blue eyes and blonde hair while I got all my looks from my father, other than the eyes.

There was a comfortable silence before we heard a loud gunshot. The driver's window shattered into a million pieces of tiny shards. I immediately grabbed the gun from the  glove department, ducking low so I wouldn't get shot. There was another gunshot.

Dialling 911 on my phone. Turning to my father just to see blood gushing out from the side of his head. His body was still, but his eyes slowly made their way to meet mine.

I distinctively made out the I love you before his eyes gave way.

I screamed.

A scream that probably cracked other windows from the car.

I looked up just in time to see that the car was going to crash straight at a large tree.

Quickly, I hit my foot in the brake. A loud squeal from the tyres could be heard just before it stopped right in front of the large stump.

There was another gunshot and I ducked down again. Footsteps could be heard nearing the car.

I shut my eyes tightly together, trying to ease my beating heart.

With my gun ready, I sat up from my position and shot the person square in the arm. Causing the gun that he was holding to fall along with him.

I make another shot at his legs so he wouldn't be able to walk.

I turn to my dad, finally letting out a sob. Holding his still frame.

"No no no no no no no" I continued to sob and cry.

"No you can't leave me dad, you can't go. You're the only person that I have left." I let out another sob.

"You won't be there to stop mother and Heather. Please. Come back."

I didn't even know how long I was there before the ambulance wheeled me into the truck.

I turned my head sideways in time to see them zip up my father's bloodied body.

I'm aware of hands grasping at me to keep me calm and a nurse asking me questions but I ignore them all because the only keeping me sane is no longer with me.

And there goes my heart...
