luv

So recently ive had some people ask me "why have you suddenly started saying 'luv'?" or "you sound British"
here's the thing. when a person lives in the most British town to ever British in Britain (Oxford) for four years, they pick up the lingo. And I picked it up young and i always heard people saying that like "luv don't cry" or "pass the sauce luv" and "you alright luv" and so on so forth.
My earliest memory of hearing this was when I was really sad and about to cry but I was steeling myself not to because I'm strong I'm strong I'm strong and the teacher was kneeling to my level and asked "what's wrong luv?" And it just rolled off her tongue so well and soothed me and I know that sounds stupid but it really did.
when I went through a period of stamping my British out of me, I stopped saying it. Now that i've met up with my British peeps recently, and my accent is slowly creeping back, I'm getting comfortable with saying it more and frankly I really like saying it. I know it makes not much sense in text and just seems like a weird thing, spelled wrong n stuff but its a word that actually means a lot to me so yea
I was supposed to update yesterday (sorry lar) but i'll try to be more regular.
