To My Favorite Barkeep
I wandered into this place
Called The Poet's Pub
Where words are served
Instead of grub
The barkeep,
His name was Bill
He never, it seemed
Could get his fill.
The biggest dreamer
I've ever met
He started this place
But was not done yet
He wanted more
Perhaps a Saloon
A place for stories
By any tune
I got swept up
I signed on quick
Knowing this place
Would become epic
The Storyteller's Saloon
Came to be
It filled up with friends
And there's this place called BG
I loved this new place
And the people who'd roam
In and out
Calling it home.
So much so
I couldn't say no
When Bill decided
It was best he go
I felt honored the day
He entrusted to me
Saying, "The Saloon
Is yours, Ruechari."
Bill's heart lies forever with the Pub.
A one of kind poetry club
A place without boundaries
A central hub
For all those who need a voice
A place without ego,
A Pub filled with love
There's no better choice.
Bill may you forever
Continue to dream
I hold in the highest esteem
If not for your vision
This opportunity could've cost
So many stories
And poems
To be lost.
