Ciel examined the people she just met as they walked out of the alley, and realized something.
"You're not wearing coats." She pointed out. "Aren't you cold?"
The baseball player chuckled and twisted his cap.
"We saw you through the hotel window, and immediately rushed out." He explained. "Didn't really think about warmth..."
They stopped in front of the hotel, making Ciel tilt her head in confusion.
"Hey," The cowgirl cut in. "At least we were close to them, or we would have felt it earlier. And it's the hotel we are going to."
"I thought we were going to the Agency?" Ciel said.
The muscular blonde smiled in amusement. "Just wait and see."
She looked up at the tall building in front of them, and they opened the door.
They walked down a set of stairs, and Ciel looked around. They were in a small room with various equipment organized near the walls. In between some cleaning and repair items was a black door with no handle. Above it was what appeared to be a camera.
"This is the basement." The baseball player said. "It's where we keep the equipment for janitors and repairmen."
Ciel looked perplexed. "What are we doing here?"
He grinned. "Just watch." Then he walked up to the door and, to Ciel's surprise, spoke to it. "Agency Security!"
She shrieked a little when the camera flashed a red light over him.
"Voice recognition required." A female voice said. "Please state your codename to initiate."
"Codename: Homer!" He stated.
A series of beeps rang out. "Voice recognition complete. You are an agent, and free to enter. Welcome Homer, as well as any guests you are bringing."
The door rose from the ground, revealing a hallway behind it.
Homer stepped through and turned to Ciel. "Well, come on in."
She and the others stepped inside, and the door slammed down, making her jump.
She looked at them frantically. "Just who are you people? And what just happened right now?"
The cowgirl laughed.
"We haven't seen someone like this in a few years!" She said. "Well, I suppose we should be introducing ourselves, we did drag you this far." She tipped her hat and held out a hand. "The name's Lexi Rodriguez, nice to meet ya." Ciel shook her hand.
The muscular blonde spoke up. "I'm her brother, and my name is Matthew. You can just call me Matt."
"And I'm Allen Hart, pleased to meet you." The baseball player finished. "You've already met Nights. His last name is Belle."
Nights didn't respond, and started walking down the hallway.
"Well, I'm Ciel Vertigo." Ciel said, then she looked at him. "What's up with him?"
Allen rubbed his neck and frowned. "It's...too complicated to get into, but here's the gist of it: He's fallen on hard times."
They stared at Nights, until he looked back.
"Are you you coming or not?" He asked.
The four of them followed him down the hallway.
"W-whoa." Ciel stammered. "What is this place?"
