"Yeah, it's a trip with my new friends from work." Ciel spoke into her phone.
She was currently at the Agency entrance, speaking to Mary, who was inquiring about where she was going.
"Okay...but you better bring me a souvenir!" Mary responded.
"Of course! I wouldn't forget that!"
"Yes! Thank you! See ya later!"
"Good bye!" Ciel turned off her phone and sighed sadly. "I might die, and she won't realize it..."
Lexi pat her on the back. "Hey, don't think that way. You'll come back alive."
"Yeah!" Allen agreed. "We promise!"
Matt nodded in agreement.
Ciel smiled. "Thank you guys."
.......
"Is everyone here?" Mr. Banks asked.
They were now in his office, standing to attention.
"Yes sir!" They all confirmed.
He nodded. "Good. Now, let's go to the Way-Point."
Ciel tilted her head. "Way-Point?"
"You'll see."
Mr. Banks grabbed the remote and clicked a button. The floor in front of the table opened up to reveal a staircase that led underground.
"Whoa!" Ciel said in amazement.
"Every Commanding Officer gets one of these passageways," He explained. "And a Way-Point for their own use. Now come, we have a lot to discuss."
After a few minutes, they entered a room with a glowing yellow pad in the center. Ciel looked at it curiously.
"That's the Way-Point?" She asked. "What does it do?"
"I could give you the explanation," Mr. Banks answered. "But it would be much easier to show you."
He stepped on the pad, and a yellow light rose from it, blocking him from view. A few seconds later, it died down, revealing that Mr. Banks wasn't there anymore.
"W-what!? What just happened!?" Ciel said frantically. "Where did Mr. Banks go!?"
Allen pat her on the back. "Don't worry, it's always jarring the first time." He said sympathetically. "Just close your eyes and you'll be fine. Matt, you go next to give the kid some comfort."
Matt nodded and stepped onto the Way-Point, being engulfed in the strange light and disappearing right after that.
"See, it's not so bad." Lexi pointed out. "You go next Ciel."
"Okay..." Ciel said.
She walked up to pad and stepped on it, closing her eyes as the light engulfed her. Her body felt like it was being split into a million tiny pieces, and being blown away by a strong wind. The experience was so unpleasant, she wanted to scream. But she couldn't find her voice, so all she could do was go along with the ride.
.......
When Ciel woke up, she found herself laying on a hard, steel floor. She could feel a cold breeze waving through her hair.
"Hey, she's awake!" Lexi's voice said.
Ciel groaned and stood up. She saw Lexi, Matthew, and Allen standing in front of her.
"You alright?" Allen asked.
"Yeah..." Ciel replied. "What was that?"
"That was the Way-Point."
